for the Group Buy Forum. Can anybody tell me why humour is deleted from the forums, but attempts to de-rail a Group Buy ( when several members are already paying their money), is apparently acceptable:?) Or, why this Association and it's worthwhile members are being humiliated by immature low-life fools, who ring the Motel in Gilgandra, to request NOT to be placed anywhere near certain other members, "because we don't like them".:N( :N( :x This weekend is going to be quite interesting. Are morals and principles something from a bygone era?Cheers

    Sigh,

I was hoping there where no children in the zed community. Could be people playing pranks though. Gene

...and who rang Vivien and told her I had

    a wombat on my head ?:x :x :x
READ MY LIPS, IT IS A CAT!!!
As Long as you have a bath Lloyd I don't mind being near you. It is a shame though that Vivien has had a call like that. It makes us look silly and childish.
    Cheers

There was no suggestion that the calls>

referred to me, only that there were several calls on this subject.
There would be no prize for finding me on the list of nominations, though. My concerns are that, these fools don't know who they are talking to, and yet they quite happily make a mockery of the word "Association" and it's meaning, whilst demeaning all of us in the eyes of our Host & Hostess.
Smart move guys, what's next on your agenda:?)If you read this Vivien, please accept my apologies on behalf of the idiots who rang you, and the decent members who didn't.

    "Are we having fun yet"........>>

I'm going to just keep asking myself that question, in fact I might just use it as a mantra to help try and ease the throbbing pain behind my eyes.Lloyd, I'm sorry that a couple of members decided to raise questions about your group buy, although I fail to see why I should step in and delete their posts. It certainly isn't the first time that group buys have had people post dissenting comments about them. If you want an example go and have a read of the UAS Big Brake group buy, several people raised questions about the product (I was one of them), and to Johns credit he addressed all questions raised and didn't resort to posting on the main forum claiming that attempts had been made to derail his buy or suggesting that the mods aren't doing their job because we didn't rush to his defense. Once again, I'm sorry Lloyd, but as I'm constantly being reminded, everyone doesn't always agree with everyone else. Now, Gilgandra. It really pisses me off that even with all the effort put in by so many people to make this a wonderful weekend, that inconsiderate people still seem determined to create problems. I think when all the members are packing their cars early tomorrow morning they should leave their attitudes, problems and over inflated egos at home.Come on guys, for the love of Zeds can we all try and behave this weekend :-Z :YD

Pete, I'm not suggesting that you should>

have to delete posts from the GB forum. What I am asking is, that we have some clear rules of acceptable behaviour on that forum.
I have no problem with comments when a GB is first posted, BUT, when NO criticism is posted during the initial GB, I find it more than a little curious, that such criticism emerges, after willing participants are asked to confirm their intention to buy an item ( so that accurate numbers are able to be assessed, and a decent price can be negotiated).I find it inexplicable, that when several participants have already paid their money and a cut-off date has been set, we get another critical post re costing and manufacturers, from another member who wasn't joining the GB anyway. For what purpose, if not to scuttle the GB:?)

Perhaps to leave me holding the can for the cost of all the unfinished Braces.I won't comment on the other probable reason, at this time.Like you, I am astounded at the actions of the few goons that rang the motel (as mentioned), and hope this weekend doesn't degenerate into the farcical mess it is heading toward.I guess we can always exercise our "drinking muscles" if all else fails:YD Safe trip mate

    I'm sure that whilewe are....>>

Exercising our drinking muscles we can discuss any suggested amendments to the guidelines. Perhaps a "classified appendix" is needed. Saturday afternoons "throw comments/questions at the Mods" would be just the time and place.

    Wouldnt worry too much chilli

Most people who like to cause trouble usually wont do it face to face. Its easy to say stuff on the phone or the internet but when your standing in front of the person its usually a different story, so I dont think the weekend will have any problems. As for the group buy, cant stop people from commenting. I wouldnt let it get to you. I certainly hope you havent paid anything up front. Even after people confirm 1000% they are in, I never believe it till I get the money. Only then do I order.

    Seconded ...

... almost word for word what I was gonna say!It WILL BE A GREAT weekend! And re the GB, I'm buying the Chili-brace; sure if I was Shane, [and we did discuss it] I'd make my own. Whilst I have access to the materials & workshop, it's still a 3 or 4 hour job IMO, and for the sake of a few dollars saving I'd rather buy 'off the shelf' and support the one who initiated the whole idea.Re the other matter: those responsible [& we DO have a good idea who you are] are the 'children' better left at home anyway.Cheers everyone, have a HAPPY & SAFE Easter wherever you may be Zedding off to! :-Z

The group buy forum is just that...

a forum for people to discuss matters regarding certain group buys, hence the name forum(dictionary.com : A medium of open discussion or voicing of ideas, such as a newspaper or a radio or television program). If you can't handle a bit of open discussion regarding price etc. (which could not occur before you set a price naturally), then don't post a group buy. Its not worth YOUR headache (heartache:?)).

    Have fun

Oni just because Lloyd has an aura that would make him a terrible for a close range assassin, does not mean he is not a nice guy. I personally think Lloyd is about the funniest wittiest bloke I have ever met. He has been around and knows a bit to especially about cars. He also does a great job at track days confusing my GTR opponents.
Re the politics well what must the country folk think of us city folk. I guess if you get enough adults then personalities and ego's will clash.
By now you guys should be on the way or close there too. Wish I was there too. Have fun.
Re group buys, as long as it is about the product and the subject and gives constructive feed back etc then all good.

How old are members on here?

By being that petty it shows that some of our minds haven't matured as quick as our bodies!
