Well photos of the wheels are on page 1. so You can go back and do some comparison. if you know what a GT2860RS's CHRA looks like.

    Further proof:
Both CHRA tested on the same car in T28 housings on SR20det. same power curve (ATR28G1 made 4KWs more lol). same boost curve. BB CHRA is 7% or 250RPMs more responsive.

Like I said before we are a Garrett Retailer, We use Garrett Bits every single day, I have no problems installing GT2860RS CHRAs in to ATR25 housings as long as the customer can pay the extras.

Any way, at this stage I'm workig to get this car back on the road and finish off this evaluation. Thank you for every one who's given positive support.

  2. Correct me if im wrong but I dont think there will be much difference between a 20 year old turbo that is in good condition and a brand new one (of the same spec).
The reason the factory one doesnt hold as well is because it is a lot smaller and the volume of air going through it isnt enough to support the Z at high rpm.

Also if a turbo is in fully operational condition. There will be no difference to its performance regardless of its age.

Niall i agree, your car and along with a few others would had been a great candidates! If HyperGear was promising 300rwkw + (with your car) i wouldnt have any doubts at all. I hope HyperGear get 300rwkw with there current project car but i doubt it.. with the info and pics his giving us the engine looks cactus or its coming to the end of its very hard life !

The boggy 2nd hand car dealer in Jap sold me a 180sx with a spun bearing and this piece of shit. Been told both cars are in excellent condition when I bought them back in 05. Sure they look excellent condition from out side with bodykit and fresh pain. Shit box from inside. How ever the 180sx ended up pulling 316rwkws using a ATR28G4 after engine rebuild. Now this.....

Should've just picked a local car.

I'm start finding its project pointless as the the ATR28G1 CHRA (used on ATR25) has already been tested on CA and SR engines with over 80 units sold since its release back in Dec 08. plus most people already know what GT2060RS CHRA does on VG30dett engines.

Any way since its started, it must end the way I want it to be.

The car's almost done. Engine's back with FMIC fitted.

Also with this Npower dump+front pipe. They looks ok. Mine don't fit. The angle of the flange on is slightly off. can't tighten the bolts. Tolling it to a exhaust place tomorrow to get it fabricated. But apart from that it should be back on the road tomorrow.

I'm going to be getting my car tuned soon in a bid to fix my problem. So I'll let you know of my results. If all goes well I'll be trying 16 to 18psi.

I have a problem. Every thing's back in the way it was But the car doesn't start. All wires and every thing are connected correctly. Its giving me a fault code of 21. which is the Ignition unit (correct me if I'm wrong). Changed it and still come up with same code. any one knows what else might be triggering it?

Try cleaning the PTU (Ignition Module) connectors.

Clean and retension the ptu(ignition unit) connections.
Have you got the 3 small earth wires on the back of the plenum?
