Tordek used a 14mm wrench from the front to undo Daves.

Otherwise just do what the engine pull guide recommends and use a 14 mm crows foot on a 9" extension to get to it from the front.

To get that off its best done with a cut off ring spanner a long extension and a mallet.

Also probably need a cut-off spanner to get off one of the gas lines that goes to the compressor, again with extension bar and mallet.

    Good luck.

    Cheers,

    Peter

i've used a short spanner and a long screwdriver for leverage. has worked for me in the past. put the ring spanner on the bolt head then lever the open end with the screwdriver wedged between the spanner and the block.

    Hmm,

George (mmmdreg) and I pulled the compressor out of his old wreck
and put it into his next car. It was some time ago, but I can't remember any problems apart from the usual cramped engine bay and a few scratches on hands and arms. (And it RAINED)
