Hey all, im looking for help, i have a high pitched buzzing noise coming from the rear of the cab, i think it may be the fuel pump. It never made this noise untill lately, NA 2seater 89model J-spec. Cheers
When does it happen? Once the car is first started/shut off? Probably fuel pump, or possibly suspension related if more squeaking.
I had this problem with my fuel pump recently, generally it means it on the way out. Is the problem when you start the car it makes the buzzing noise or after you have been on a hard run. My new walbro is fine at start up, fine under general driving but does humm a little if i have been driving hard or for a few hours on the open road. If you do replace the fuel pump yourself be wary of some of the kits that come with the Walbro as they dont include the sleave for the pump and if they do have a sleave some aren;t thick enough, I found this out the hard way.
It may just be a failing FPCU instructing the fuel pump to go nuts. Might also be the ABS, where exactly is it coming from. I believe the ABS is a buzzing noise, whereas the fuel pump is a high pitched whine
Noise is symptomatic of FPCU on it's way out. Refer Tech Section for how to bypass and be prepared for total failure. FPCU may be repaired as per TA or buy a 2nd hand unit from Cresta.
Its is buzzing all the time, it is more of a high rpm whine, definately from behind me as i drive. Cruising or throttle, it is constantly there
hey sorry to hijack.. similar issue i have this humm slash buzz coming from left rear wheel arch.. comes on randomly for about 5 secs... sometimes even for a period after the turbo timer shuts the car off. but usually when idiling... wtf is going on.. crazy ass zed! it makes a clicky electrical noise when it stops.. i was thinkin fuel pump but when its off seems odd! any help please
high pitched whine Do you have the EL tape (and inverter) for your 300ZX rear centre light. Mine is not working and the inverter whine, while not really loud, is really annoying.
