I turned my headlights on this arvo and only one came on, so I got out to have a look and the drivers side was bright and the high beam lights were on but very dim and weren?t on at the switch. I took both globes out of the headlight sockets and removed the passenger side one and the drivers side stayed on but the dim high beams went off, so I removed the drivers side globe and put it in the passenger side and the high beams came on dim and the headlight globe was also dim. Has any one had this issue before, and how do I fix it? Drivers side headlight on strong all others off. Passenger side headlight on as well as the two high beams, but all three are weak. Cheers
All I can think is a relay or earthing issue... Go and have a play with a multimeter, look for damaged wires and swap around some relays.
Thats so wierd, My 2 bob would be to check the switch, especially if it came out of the blue, and all crap hit the fan on the same day? see if you can swap out the switch with a known working one ... switch the globes as well to make sure they both work (even if in the one location) Just logic ......... but may be off the money and the cigar. good luck
I'm pretty sure thats an earthing issue, my brothers R31 did wierd stuff like that when he forgot to replace an earth lead. Find the earth leads from all of your lights (should be black ones) trace them and see where they go, even if the earth looks good its worth re-doing, clean up the contact points and reattach.
That is odd Stevo, looks like you fixed it, beering it up but grounding issue for sure. and if not fixed you got your priorities in order mate.
