VIC Great Ocean Rd Cruise - Sunday Nov 29th

C'mon people! 2 weeks til we're out there cruising the GOR. Anyone who hasn't put their name down yet do so!

 

Pending on what my mechanic tells me tomorrow, I am KEEN

 

Update - please read

OK, 5 days to go before the cruise . Weather is looking great, 22 degree's and partly cloudy. Hopefully it stays that way.

So, a reminder on a few important items;

1) Meet at United Servo Outbound, Westgate Bridge, 7:30am (earlier if you want).
STRICT DEPARTURE TIME of 8am.

2) Unlike previous years, we will NOT be stopping for fuel at Avalon. So please ensure you have a full or close to full tank of fuel when you get to the United Servo start point.

3) The first stop is at Point Danger, Torquay. However, there is no food available at Point Danger. So bring some snacks in the car if your likely to get hungry. From Point Danger, we drive straight to Apollo Bay. If there are no incidents or issues on the day, we should be at Apollo Bay by about 1pm.

4) In the past I have provided printed directions and maps on the day. This time, I am providing you with the pdf file so you can print them out yourself and have them on the day. Chances are you wont need them, but they will be handy if we get separated. Please go to the link below to download the pdf file.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it this time either :-( I've run out of time to get a few key items sorted before the weekend. I hope you get fantastic weather and a great run of/lack of traffic.

 

So is this still happening? I'll be coming around to the meet spot on Todd Rd. Won't be heading out to GOR though as I'm working in the afternoon and will stay for a bit of banter in the morning.

 

Hey guys, unfortunately Blissfully pulled out. I needed an extra seat koz my Z is a 2 seater. Could anyone help out with that?

 

Update 2 - route change

Hey everyone, my mate in the BMW club kindly pointed out to me that the Geelong Revival is on this weekend. For those that haven't been to the Geelong Revival, its a car show / speed trial event along the water front of Geelong. Unfortunately, that's exactly where part of our cruise is going. Roads will be blocked for the event, so to bypass this section, I've had to modify the route slightly. Please click on the link in my original post to see the changes. The rest of the cruise remains unchanged. See you tomorrow.

 

Ill try and rock up for the start, probably wont do the full run unless I get a passenger, so if anyone wants shotgun let us know.
