    Great pic heavy day!

Great day as usual, very well organized and pretty much went down without a hitch!

    Only two issues I had were;
    1. bottoming out at that piss weak speed bump at the servo
    2. missing the turn off after lunch (thanks xavier for coming to get me, champion!)

    Anyway, enough talk, now pictures.

Eat your heart out Rod, Martin & Matt! :p

    How many GORs now??

After chatting to BigCol today, I think we worked out that this was our 8th or 9th GOR run since being in the Zed scene from the early 2000's. But as always, it was heaps of fun :) The rain held off, with a fairly overcast sky and brief moments of sun. I think I counted 25 zeds at one stage, awesome turnout :). Below are some pics.

Thanks to all the organizers and everyone who took part today. Was glad we could tag along in the green falcon for a keen look and some handy ideas before dribbles car goes into paint. Some exceptional zeds there today, that purple zed of brackets has the best stance! Love it

Ive had on the gor in years!

  11. BigCol

    BigCol That's what she said...

    Good day!

Thanks to Kingy (Badzx) for organising the cruise - another good one - and it was great that the weather held out for us. Although I had to leave a bit early it was good to catch up with some familiar faces, and meet some new ones. Anyone with pics post 'em up (especially Craig & Adam).

I went back through my records, and this was GOR #9, so next year is the big 10th anniversary cruise - there's some pressure for ya Kingy!

  12. RENZED

RENZED Girl in the black beast

Well what a day it was..I had a whole 4.5hrs sleep (doesn't beat Craig's 50min sleep though lol)...

We were up by 0500hrs and left home at 0540 to wash the zed at the Easywash carwash (dedication)...met at the Bendigo Bunnings carpark at 0620 (running a tad late) and departed just after 0630hrs..in the mini Bendigo Zed Convoy lol...

Great fun, enjoyed driving down the GOR twisties with Craig in awkward positions trying to take photos whilst I zoomed around hairpins :rofl:
Craig even got a go at some twisties himself in the inland cruise...so it was my turn for awkward positions while taking photos lol...

Anyway, thanks Kingy for organising another great GOR cruise!! Its such a long day, but it is well worth it! We arrived home just after 1900hrs..and I tell you I struggled to stay awake driving home (woke Craig up to talk to me)...but a whole lot of help he was falling in and out of sleep almost immediately lol...Photos will be posted by Craig at some stage after he has been rested enough..

    Till next time :D:D:D

P.S JEDI-77: I say this in the most sincere and non creepy way...but, your arse looks quite similar to mine you copy-cat :p:p:p

Big thanks again to Kingy for organising another great GOR cruise. I know how everyone is feeling about being exhausted after returning home around 4pm. But the adrenalin was still pumping through me and I couldnt sleep even if I tried to:zlove:

R31 Gagz Harden the F#%K up!!

LOL Teky, thanks for the fantastic photo of myself...granted as Renee said it was after 50min of sleep after working on her Z for nearly 12 hours straight, therefore no shave, no brushed teeth...just a quick shower and some wax in the hair so I didnt look completely f****d :p

Don't you worry though, I've got some good mug shots of you somewhere in my GOR photos :D

Will hopefully get them posted up tonight, last night was another late one at the folks this time helping setup their new 3D TV and Surround system and then watching the F1 replay because I missed it Sunday, didn't even remember to record it from being so dead tired.

Great photos from everyone, I'll try and find some more unique angle and feature shots to post up since everyone's done a good job of covering the day's events :)

Another awesome GOR cruise organised by Kingy, a huge thanks to him and anyone else that helped plan and carry out the big day and simply make sure it happens every year .

Much twisty fun was had and many a fond catch up chat as well as meeting a few new faces (for myself anyway ;)). I don't get on the forum that much at the moment so it was really great to see and chat to those that I've been on quite a few cruises with and come to know over the years

One thing I felt that could be improved on for the cruise next year is a good photo shoot location. I am in no way criticising Kingy's efforts as he runs a tight ship on a lean schedule which is the GOR cruise and while we did have a photoshoot, I feel it should really take place along the GOR with an awesome surf and blue sky backdrop or something like that...to really capture the vibe of the day and the awesomeness that is the GOR. I would be happy to take the M3 for a spin (;)) next year some time and scope some places out if others feel the same way?

    Cheers,

    Craig

  19. BADZX

    BADZX Grumpy old fart

Not just back at you Craig, but to all that have added their thanks ......

    ya welcome :D

We had a couple of hickups that screwed me around a tad for the final sections..... the weather being one of em...... drove home from Geelong in brilliant sunshine, sunvisors down shades on...... bloody typical

I had a pic location sorted but it wasnt going to be an easy task to get 30+ ZX's into it..... as it turned out as we came to the spot there was allready 6 cars parked up and all over the place aswell, no real room & we wouldnt have gotten a good group shot done.
pithed orf ..... but it happens, the underpass was a late call on my behalf, trying to think of an alternative venue that was easy to get to and a spot that everyone could easily find the way back to their homes ......, sorry but it was all I could come up with as we drove on.

Next year is the 10th anniversary of the forums GOR run.....

    So .....

Obviously it will be a HUGE event and a HUGE day for all that attend, I'd even at this early stage suggest that melbournites and others traveling great distances to get to the start line.... consider a motel on the Saturday night.... ;)
I'm planning a HUGE drive

As for a photo venue for next years event, allready done :D

Phonecall this afternoon confirmed in principle,
permission for a maximum of 50 cars & occupants to ....

    a/ enter the property

b/ have sole use the area in front of the 'venue' for both group and individual photos for a period no-longer than 2hours.

c/ may obtain permission to utilise other buildings on the property for short photo sessions

The venue is one I've been trying to get for the last 3 years..... and this will be the first time in probably the last 20years that the owners have allowed it.. fingers crossed they still agree to it in 11months time
    ;)

    Kingy
    p/s
I'll do the pic upload here on the w/end
