GOR Cruise Route Info

Howdy all, most of you have done the GOR cruise before, but this year we've decided to add an old meet up point at Point Danger. In the past, we used to meet the Geelong crew here, but have not done it for many years.

Anyway, please see the link below for the cruise route. Essentially we will be heading to Barwon Heads first, then driving along the coast (part of the way) to Point Danger. There we can stop for a leg stretch and photos. From there, on to Apollo bay as normal.

GOR Cruise 21-02-2015

We will still be stopping at the BP servo in Avalon as we have previous years. But this will only be a short stop so I advise that everyone be fuelled up before hand.
For the Geelong guys (if there are any), I would suggest that you still meet us at the BP at Avalon. But if you prefer to meet us at Point Danger, then please let either BigCol or myself know.

No tolls and No dirt roads!

 

No..

No, there are no Toll roads on the cruise route. But you may be charged tolls depending which way you go to get to the Cruise meet up point (i.e., United Servo at Westgate). That whole area, coming from the east through the tunnel, or over the Bolte Bridge is tolled.

Well we will be leaving at 0800 from Bendigo, should get to the first meet point by 1000. Airton said he is coming, despite not posting here..so I hope he will be our travel buddy down there

Keen to see everybody, but I'll have to cut it short at some point as I have a work function in the city. Might have to cut it very short
Out of curiosity, why wasn't the cruise on Sunday?

 

Just for the sake of trying something new! We've done 10 (i think) on a sunday leaving at 9am so time for a change!
