Could be the mustang or it might even be the convertible.

 

I'm backing Mikey's suggestions. I'm not into the airshow, but do the people who go attend all the days? or could they go on one day and do the cruise on the other day?

SAME HERE NOT 28TH FEB/1ST OF MARCH WEEKEND I GOT A TRAINING CAMP IN SYDNEY!! and i REALLY don't want to miss out on this cruise :zlove:

Im yet to find out my new contract for work, but this is one of those events that you just DONT want to miss!! I'd prefer March 14/15th

 

my dates...

the bad dates for me are Feb 13 and 14, Feb 20 and 21 and March 21st and 22nd..... all other dates will be fine.. I hope..

A Sunday seems to suit most members from the discussions I've had with many of you since the GOR 2008.

JANUARY is OUT
(too short a notice for ppl to get time off work etc )




FEBUARY
1st ..... clear
(but only 2 weeks away, perhaps too short a notice again)

8th ..... clear
( only 3 weeks away~ too fine for those "time off work" requests ??? )

15th ... clear except for Jedi77

22nd ... clear except for Jedi77



MARCH
1st ..... Chad & Xavier out

8th ..... Looooooooooooong w/end
( plenty of tourists about ..... but clear otherwise )

15th .... Air Show
(Melb-Geelong Rd will be a traffic jam !! )

22nd ... Clipsal w/end

29th .... Grand prix w/end



APRIL
5th ..... clear
( except for nissan National attendees doing prep work )

12th ... EASTER & NISSAN NATIONALS

19th ... clear
( except for late returnees from Nissan Nats ) :lame:

26th .... clear



MAY -------> the month the weather starts to turn to shit !
3rd .... clear

10th .. clear

17th .. clear

24th .. clear

31st .. clear

JUNE......... TOO LATE !



GOR 2008 was run on the 13th of April, if thats a help in any way to your decision.

Kingy ,nicole and i really enjoyed the last GOR cruise , you have 2 chances of pleasing every body , bucklys n none , lol , l know every body would love to go on the GOR cruise , but some times its hard to due to peoples committments , but life's too short so we will tag along once again , ps nicole is peeling nicely from the last GOR cruise

 

and was way too late imho,day was short,got dark early,was cold etc

This would be much better run in feb/march when its nice and warm and days are long and we are all in targas off/summer mode i reckon :zlove:

 

I'm tempted to book a long weekend and come over for this one myself. Get the date sorted quickly please and give us interstaters a chance to make it.
Any others from SA interested?

8th ..... Looooooooooooong w/end
Being a long w/end ( Labor day holiday), the friday night and saturday will be busy traffic wise as ppl make their way to the coast for a break, the same crowd will clog up the roads again on monday as they head for home....

The Sunday however whilst I'd expect to be quieter traffic wise but with plenty of ppl out n about in the coastal towns.... remember we are on a cruise not a race & we will be on some of the lesser used roads for 1/3 of the run.
A long w/end might also encourage some interstaters to come seeing there's the extra day for traveling for them.

The traffic could be heavy on the Melb geelong Rd but only as far as the air strip.... leaving a clearer road from there onwards. For those that go to this event would you sacrifice the sunday in favor of the GOR run ?
& how many of you would this effect ?

I like many others enjoy my motor racing.... but I have a VCR
would a Saturday suit better so the "main race" can be watched on the Sunday as you unwind from the GOR run ???

I dont have a problem here at all as I'm not going to the nationals.... If I was going however I'd have the stuff that needed to be done well under way and wouldnt be leaving it to the w/end before a major event !
Perhaps the GOR run could be shake down run for those going to the nationals ???


make up ya minds.... put up a poll ...
I need to get things organised in advance in regards to us useing the non public carparking at the OtwayFly, reserved eating area set aside etc etc.
