MELBOURNE
8:45am - muster at Todd Road service station.
9:00am - depart for Ballarat via freeway
( BADZX & geelong crew to join in along route)

BALLARAT
10:15- arrive at BAKERY HILL maccas for morning tea

MOUNT FRANKLIN
Photo shoot

CASTLEMAINE
Still not confirmed at this stage but we are hoping to get into the Castlemaine RodShop Museum

MALDON
- Lunch - venue yet to be advised, Mick looking into it. (Bendigo people meet here)
- Photo shoot on Mount Tarrengower.
- MickW leads from Maldon to Bendigo either across to Calder Fwy via Fogartys Rd
OR
to Calder Alt via Bendigo Maldon Rd and into Bendigo via Lockwood Rd (if we go this way then we will be stopping at the Shell service station as the BP is on the right of the intersection we come in from Lockwood Rd on and would not be a cruise friendly route)

BENDIGO
- MickW leads from Lockwood Rd intersection along High St to Shell servo then from there along High St, left at the fountain up View St and right into the QEO car park where we park beneath the poppet head.
- A stroll through Rosalind park and the CBD.
- Craig leads from QEO left back down View St and right onto High St. Follow High St all the way out, cruise regroup on the side of high st just past the Apco servo in the start of the 50km zone (as theres a few lights along high st)
- Follow Craig from here via Mandurang South, Sedgwick, over Mt. Alexander to Harcourt.
- Stop at Mt. Alexander summit for break and checkout rock outcrop lookout.

RETURN TO MELBOURNE
- Bendigo and Melbourne people split at Harcourt, Melbourne people head back either on Fwy or Hwy.

Weather forecast looks good, according to the chart below.
One year ago we had a temperature of 47C in Bendigo on FEB 7th, the day of the Black Saturday fires...



Maldon lunch options ? There's several cafes, 3 of them close to each other, all with sidewalk option - Maldon style.
No special events in Maldon ( other than our cruise ) next Sunday so no need to pre-book.



Cafe Maldon has plenny room inside too, it's the pick of the bunch.


There was even an old busker with a huge cowboy hat singing some serious truck drivin' songs, he was actually quite good.




I'm really looking forward to it. And I have a spare seat again, Alex / dribbles has bailed out. Cheers all, Mick.

Don't think there's any SE members coming to this...

Martin is NE melbourne and Evan is way south. I might still come if I find a sucker to fill my shift on Sunday but a few ppl quit recently so I don't think that's gonna happen.

I'll be staying the night in Kew and leaving my car at Martins which is pretty close by.

Also guys, i'll be bringing along my camera so will try to take some nice shots at the meet points and photo ops along the way. Looks like a smallish turnout but that's good, more time to have a good yarn with some members from further afield

 

Todd Rd Meetup

Gidday Guys,
I thought I'd kick this off for the hell of it so we know who's who in the Zoo come Sunday morning.
As I understand the plan was to leave Todd Rd Servo at 9:00 (I'll be there around 8:30 for coffee )
If any of you already have a meet-up point planned let me know and I'll come join you there if it turns out that I'll be the only one heading for Todd Rd.

To all the Bendigo people...do you all want to meet up at say Clive Peters car park and head down to Maldon together?

If Kingy can give me a ring when he's at Mt Franklin (ill PM you my number Kingy incase you don't have it), it takes between 30 and 40min depending on if they go through Newstead or Castlemaine respectively which gives us enough time to meet and then cruise down to Maldon to meetup with the cruise.

What does everyone think? Not long now till the cruise so don't tarry in your response ...if you want to do that, PM me your mobile numbers and ill call everyone when we need to meet and hit the road

well I think....

I am pi##ed as work want me to work surprisingly. So once again I miss a great event. So mad. The last even I attended was a dyno day about 4 yrs ago.

 

Don't worry mate, I'm in the "have to goto work" boat too. Now I feel less bad since I'm not the only poor sucker here

 

That's a shame Parker, obviously not in a position to say to them that you already have other commitments?...especially after all the hard work to get the car ready.

I'm sure you'll get out to an event soon, just keep trying
