Planing a Saturday or Sunday run in mid to late January.....

Melbourne to Ballarat (freeway cruise)
Ballarat to Castlemaine (twisties)
Castlemaine to Maldon (posiable lunch and photo shoot destination)
Maldon to Bendigo (main road section)
Bendigo to Melbourne (highway cruise)

Need locals in those locations to assist with venues for group parking areas/ photo shoot locations / lunch venue / designiated meetup locations for the various groups ( IE: geelong / melb/ central Vic member groups.) / fuel stops / other roads of intrest from local knowlege.



expected departure time ex Melbourne 9.00am
total travel time expected ~6hours +

The road in to the Grampians through Zumpsteins is great, rather tricky though.

Still, lots of fun if you are sensible.

First round for the MSCA is at Sandown on the 31st of Jan. I know that both Mikey and I are intending to compete so if you could not do this on that day it would be good.

 

I'm happy to help with locations around Bendigo etc..however the only weekend I have off in January is 23/24 and I've got a friends wedding to go to on the 23rd..so I'm only free to do it on Sunday the 24th...otherwise I wont be attending..

I work in Emergency..might be an issue ...Kingy might be planning it for Feb, haven't done that roster yet

So far all weekends are free at the moment, so could probably help out with the Bendigo Stint if needed.

Hi Kingy,

Not sure what you've got planned so far for your stop in Maldon but I reckon it would be a good idea to head up to the top of Mt Tarrengower. It's a nice little spirited drive along a good little winding road up to the top where theres plenty of room to spread the cars out for a photo shoot and a poppet head (arrow in pic below) to get some cool overhead shots.



What do you think?

I'll try to get some idea's for your Bendigo stop as well.

Was thinking of doing lunch in Maldon, the 'old time' shops would be a stark contrast to the ZX's..... black n white pics would be kewl

Look as if GOLDFIELDS RUN will go ahead ....... now just to find a date thats suitable.
