Z32 Getting my z going

    How did you remove the injectors? I found if you press them out there's no harm done. Here's how I did it:

    When I still had oem injectors, I used to find the best way was to saturate the top O rings with WD40 and leave for a couple of hours before turning over the rail and doing the same with the bottom O rings. The bottom O rings have a little moat around them so you can fill them up a leave to soak with the rail in a vice.

    Then turn the fuel rail right way up in the vice, put a piece of cloth (doubled over a couple of times) over the top of the injector. Get a pair of adjustable multigrips (or an adjustable spanner) and fit them snuggly over the rag on the rectangular part of the injector and slowly ease the tool left and right to break the grip of the O rings on the rail. Just a few mm each way at first, then up to about 10mm each way while you slowly pull up on the injector to remove it from the rail .

    I've found this method to be hugely successful because you are slowly loosening the grip of the O ring without applying undue pressure :cool:
