I currently have my engine out, and im doing some maintenance work and upgrades to the block. But the exhaust needs some work as well. I recently bough custom headers from the GB by PZP. They were well built and well finished, i would recommend to anyone N.A N.A Headers I have wrecked my O2 sensors on my old extractors, and i have cut off the temp sensors down near the cats. I only need to replace the 02 sensors right? the cat temp sensors aren't needed are they? My question is, i am thinking of using my existing mufflers, and buy some mangleflow 2.5" cats, and get a custom made 2.5" pipes from extractors to mufflers without a res. Is this a good idea? Will it pass a exspection? This is my current exhaust:
didnt know pzp did a group buy,do you mean ttzed mangleflow lol :bash:  ,are they anything like my magnaflow ???
you are correct you dont need to reconnect the cat temp sensors. And I would think you should be ok with the exhaust setup you are planning.
hot300zx, its late at night and i am tired :bash: fleet, i have to get a full RTA inspection as my car has gone past its registration period. will this set up still be fine? How much am i looking at to get it done? and what is it called, x pipes plus housing for cats? What do i need to ask for?
i reccomend to get something installed between the cats and the rear mufflers otherwise its going to be too loud. either go with the uas xpipe/muffler or some small straight thru mufflers...
cost? im after a cost as well. I need to know what the system is called, and roughly how much it will cost for a custom mandrel system from headers to mufflers, minus the cats, will cost. Also i need to make sure its legal, so what Db is the cut off, what is the diffinition of being "too loud" in NSW? If anyone can shead some light on the situation, it would be much appreciated
it really depends on which shop is going to do the work. ive seen some people pay up to as much as $1000 for a full installed mandrel bent system.... id be looking around the $500 for the installation....
sorry that was from headers back. headers will cost more to installl not sure how much as ive never gone into that...
