No it's not. What are you referring to as a tank full(the Z32 holds 72lts in it's tank)? Auto or Manual? City driving, country driving, or combination of both? Sensible top gear cruising, or flogging the ass of it in the lower gears?
Manual it is a Manual i just drive around the city and some time give it a bit but not much. and i just filed it up and it only took 52L. it a 1989 z32
It has a good 10-20L below the "Empty" line, so it's about 72L from completely dry. 350K is pretty bad, i get roughly 450-500K's on my 89 Auto TT, and that's with a bit of suburb driving, highway driving, and having some fun at the lights.
Depending where you're driving and how you're driving it... lol I can get an average of bout 550-600k's out of mine....
there really needs to be some clarification.... about what people mean by "tank".... do you mean 350kms until the fuel light comes on??? If so, the fuel light normally comes on at about 54litres. Leaving another approx 18 litres in the tank (fuel tank is 72 litres)... If you mean 350km from the full 72 litres, then thats bad... As a guide, my modded NA gets about 400-430kms before the fuel light comes on (54 litres). That is all bumper to bumper city traffic. On the highways, the fuel light will come on somewhere between 550-590kms....
See i have never actually seen my fuel light come on, because i make sure that the indicator never drops below "empty". So when i say "450-500k's i mean from putting 40L's one day and then maybe 30L's a few days later, and see how long it takes to hit the "empty" line. It's used up 70L's so i take that as "a tank". Also take into consideration WHEN you put in your fuel. If it's about 36 degrees at 2pm and you decide to top up, you can lose up to 20% of that fuel, due to evaporation. I make it a point to only top up after 9pm-ish when it's nice and cool. Believe it or not, it actually DOES make a huge difference.
350kms from 52L is 14.86 L/100km. easy to get that figure from a slightly heavy foot, manual and stop-start city traffic. you should go out and do a more controlled test run - fill up your tank cruise around for 50-80kms and fill up again and try take note of the conditions. city streets in melbourne and sydney are different from hobart and peak hour makes a massive difference. im getting that kinda consumption from city/hway driving in my butchered 90 TT 2+0 manual targa.
i get 350-400km depending on freeway drivng etc, but i usually fill before it gets to empty, my rule of thumb is when it gets to the last quarter
