I would definitely come to one of these. Sounds awesome. I dont think theres any problems left in my Z except needing a new clutch and throwing it on the dyno to make sure shes running properly.

More than happy to help out on the day though. Do we have a date or place yet?

Up until 3pm today I had the perfect venue - a former petrol station now used solely as a mechanical centre, although Sundays the only days available... I had planned for Sunday 28th... BUT, today the non-present owner was concerned about insurance and possible premises damage and told the manager to put the lid on it - BUMMER!! Anyone have an alternative suitable venue??:confused:

One place i though off is Flinders Slope, it's part off the parks and lakes along henery lawson dr at georges hall/ bass hill.
There is a few large under cover seat areas with BBQs and public toilets close by and a very large parking area.

I 'd say no power, ( someone might have a generator )as for council approval , what for ,a group off people having a BBQ , and a few had car troubles getting there.
It is a busy place on weekends so i'd say someone would have to get there reasable early and occupy a area.
Some one might have a another car park area thats not so busy that might suit our needs.
Maybe Ron could ask John if we can use the car park at UAS on a sunday and see if he would leave a lead out for us.

OK.... Easy peasy... we have plenty of parking (although front and back of the premises) at our printing factory at Castle Hill; power is no problem, although general access to the factory would be restricted. Parking is all concrete surface, but there is no hoist available. Will sound out one of the adjoining mechanic shops to see if I can tempt them to come in (for a fee) and give us hoist access, but I wouldn't expect it. We're back from the street and the Hill's Tavern is almost across the road.

Mike, unless you need a hoist for a reason i wouldn't fuss about it to much, as for using castle hill it sounds like a winner.
Could you post a little info like date, location, time, food and drink situation and any other important things that we might need to know.
And for everyone else, it would be good if you could post or pm mike so he has a rough number to work with.
If CAZ is coming then it might be a good time to place a order and fit it at the same time.

OK guys, further to the above memo, I would add that as the 'instigator' of this Tech Day, I am offering the use of our printing factory premises in Anella Ave, Castle Hill on Sunday 28th from early till....
We are just up from the RTA and a short walk across the street from the Castle Hill Tavern. There is off-street parking in a variety of areas (front and back, as well as adjoining) for probably 200 cars, so I don't think space will be a problem. Power is available as are toilet facilities. There is no hoist, but if someone has a major engine-out type operation and the gurus are prepared to undertake same, I can bring along a suitable lifting arm as well as a block-and-tackle (But ONLY if the gurus deem it OK!!). I can arrange an air compressor also, but NOT the bikini-clad drinks girls I had mentioned previously. And, NO!!! I'm sure Caz will be too busy with her Caz Racing Machine to provide this role!! I could get my two eldest grandaughters to serve, as both are models, but I'd have to kill the lot of you!!!
So, that's it... if you wanna come, please indicate positive numbers so I can organise food and drinks. Unfortunately, hotdogs and bbq sausages will be the only food provided so, if you require something else, please bring your own. Cans of drink and tea/coffee will also be available. It would be handy also if people requiring help with their tasks advise in advance so that the ever-helpful Wiz, Ross, AndyMac and all the other 'help-men' know what they're in for. This way they can plan and organise their time to best effect to help as many as possible. (Sorry if I missed some 'gurus', but I'm not certain who can come to help at this stage).

Forgot to mention....bring your own chairs as it promises to be a long day!! There are only a couple of staff outdoor bench chairs or the parking area kerbs on which to sit.... all concrete, so a long day sitting and chatting could be painful!!:D
