This is just an EOI at the moment. But I purchased a few months back an original set of Kaminari sideskirts and door fillers. To my shock, now please read carefully. They didnt fit my car  Now my car being a 2+2 and the skirts being 2+2 I knew i didnt get the wrong set, but as it turned out MY car was out of shape! :(

Now to make sure they were good and that it wasnt a combination of the skirts and my car, I invited BigCol to come around and test fit the skirts, which fitted like a glove on his car :)

I was left with either two options. 1) Spend MORE money and get my car straightened, or 2) Sell the skirts and get some custom ones made...

So apart from the test fit for all of 5minutes, these have never been used. They have the kaminari build numbers etc etc as proof they are genuine. They cost a VERY pretty penny to get here, so I would be looking for $800 for the complete set.

I'd prefer someone in vic for pick up, but if someone wants them from interstate postage will be ontop of that price...

For any questions, please post them up here...

This is what they look like fitted.

When you say your car was uot of shape, what do you

mean exactly? Is this something others might experience?

     warped car?

    How does that happen...?

Also what would be the difference between original Kaminari and the copies that have sold everywhere. Iv seen a few cars with the copies which fit snug and perfectly and look as good if not better....

Im just trying to justify $500+ for original ones which will look the same on the car?.... :zlove:

i'm gonna guess the extra price is

    1. due to the genuine kaminari nature. obviously you pay more for the original stuff

    2. i believe they are urethane not fibreglass

    3. they are guaranteed to fit being originals and not copies

These cost more than $800 when I purchased these, as it costs a lot to get long sideskirts to Australia (you cant pretend they are non-automotive parts when they look as they do). So the price is because they are genuine....as for the comment about copies possibly looking better? lol How can a copy look better than the original?

As for my car being out of shape, its exactly that, my car is warped most likely from an accident somewhere in its 17 year life, and because sideskirts run the length of the car, not side to side like front and rear spoilers, this has obviously shown through on my car :(

Also, current exchange rates the price of these skirts is $640AUD PLUS post from America. I purchased these BEFORE the aussie dollar went up, so I paid close to $700 plus post for these. So even at current rates this price is still cheaper than getting your own...

wrong they are fiberglass. and wow i remember you saying that it was out by over an inch on one side? dunno what to think but that would make your car 110% un-roadworthy and no engineer would ever let that pass any test:confused: . i would pull the carpet up and check for any welding thats hapen to the floor of the car and the chassis before spending big bux on it dude. and yer no offence

Yeah, its a bit late, cos the sideskirts were going to be the last mod...:( I think its more that the fender wasnt panel beated correctly, so it had the wrong curve on it...bringing it up short.

I have photos of my skirts when they were test fitted on BigCols car if someone is interested :)
