As you all probally know, i have finally removed my engine from my car.
But to my satisfaction i have realised i have left down the drivers side power window...

I am wondering, is it safe to connect the battery, and switch the car to acce. and put it up? Wont affect the ecu, or any electronics?

If not, can it be done manually?

Sorry for been so clumsy :bash:
    Thanks in advanced

    Should be ok.

If not, unplug the window switch and hook power up directly to wind it up.

    Although

just make sure fuel pump is disconnected because it will shoot fuel out of the line when it primes. (I think)

For a start, you would need to turn the key to {IGNITION] not accessory.
Second, if you are worried, there is a tech article on rewiring power windows to operate with no keys in the ingition, then you just have to connect the battery and they will operate. Then you have less chance of damaging anything.

exact same thing happened to me. just make sure the main starter cable is well clear of the body and there should not be any sparks when you connect the battery.

My fuel pump was connected but it only squirted out a tiny bit of fuel

I did mine, remove the start relay and fuel pump fuse and you are fine to use stereo, windows, whatever you want.
