I have a 1990 Aus-spec which does not have padded arm rests on the doors. I have seen reference to padded door arm rests for 300zx which can be covered with leather etc and fit on top of the moulded arm rest in the inner door panels. Are padded arm rests on the doors OEM on later models or are they aftermarket? Anyone know if the padded arm rests would fit the 1990 model? thanks for any feedback, Paul
They came out on the later year models. I think there is a moulded recess on the later year door cards where the cushions attach too. But I could be wrong. Check this thread out and if not pm khalid (thread owner) and get the items from him. http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=316703
The latter models door trims just have locating holes to fit them. So bearing that in mind - I believe the padded arm rest can be adaptable to the earlier door cards very easily.
The leather padded arm rest were only avaliable to a series 3 Z (93+) and were only on suede with leather seats interior and not for cloth interior like velour. The arm rests are I think glued on to the door card which is not altered from previous years.
If you want them are these too expensive ? I wonder if you could glue male velcro on them to attach to your door cards ? It's good enough for airplanes . http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/90-96-NI...hicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5198330116&_uhb=1
These are actually only the covers from Topgaiters and I would still need the actual arm rest. Thanks anyway.
