damn timing belt is out

    finally got around to doing a 2nd compression test since the rebuild and found one bank was around 10psi lower.

    I figured it was probably the timing and it was, one of the cam sprockets is out by a tooth (7 degrees). I don't know if it slipped or what but I don't think the compression was out at 1000k's and I was pretty damn careful setting the belt.

    I did however go by the belt marks and didn't count the teeth so hopefully gates belts are ok in that respect. Will find out soon when I get the other covers off.

    A bit of a pain, I think I'll leave the covers off from now on. I guess on the plus side, I should do a tad better at the drags next time around. :)
