I have a 92 tt auto that has the issue of the cruise control cutting out after about five seconds. Any help would be appreciated.

check the switches on the clutch pedal and brake pedal are not wound out too far away from the pedal. The pedal should come to rest on them and completely press the switches - the clutch pedal has two switches and should press these evenly.

If one of the switches is 'opened' the cruise will turn off.

Other that that - perhaps a bad relay? not sure where the cruise ones are - sorry

Also check the pedal stopper rubber (little green lolly)

I assume the brake pedal has a similar switch setup

As mentioned above if the green lollies has a hole in it then thats also going to cause your issue

helps to clean the switch contacts.

also, anyone know anything about how to set cruise speed over 100km/hr? any hacks?

There is a 'How To' article in the Technical section on how to tweak the CC to be able to set it at up to a max. of 140 something km/hr.

A-Z Index - Everything is listed in here > Cruise Control

Unfortunately, the photos don't show up which is a shame.
