Strut braces won't fit with the EDFC...

By the time this cars on the road I should be serving in the ADF. No expenses and plenty of money to spend on cars. Haven't looked into tyres but obviously won't be skimping out on them. TT diff, don't like how short the NA is.

With the no expense spared theme you seem to be taking mate mind if I ask why on earth you've got ams pulleys / dumps & Megan suspension arms? I mean of course run whatever you want but those really stand out against pretty much everything else on your list.

Pulleys were already installed on the engine when I bought it... Plus the bloke building my engine has been running AMS pulleys on his engine for 90k Km's with no issues. Dumps shouldn't really be an issue either.

Megan racing gear was really only chosen due to the colour haha. If they aren't any good I'll go for something else.

Fair enough mate if your working with parts you've already got. Just check with the pulleys, the original ams underdrive pulleys (pex pulley copies) had a 2mm offset issue, newer (Bernie copies) don't. So could be an issue if they've been on the motor for a little while.
The dumps have been pretty well documented to be rough as guts inside (see the american sites for photos) so since you've got a bit of time up your sleeve get 'em out & clean them up.

Megan stuff is same as all the other ebay/ams/etc arms, will do the job but they're not to the same level as the rest of the gear your fitting. Powertrix are better or for top shelf spl & ikeya formula.
What's your plans for fuca's? Didn't see them listed. Stock with camber kit, midori style, jap solid arms with pre-set camber, uas, etc?

Love the wheel choices but snap up the nismo's sooner rather than later if your going that way, good sizes/offsets are moving up in price of late.

Also are you sure about strut braces not fitting with edfc? Could've sworn I've seen some american builds with both.
Personally I'd ditch the edfc & get one of those next miracle 'x' braces & just some adjustment extension thingys to manually adjust in cabin.

I don't know who you are, but if you fit bronze LMs to a charcoal car I will find you, and I will kill you...

Yeah Tim, dumps will be removed and cleaned right up.

Fair enough, will look into something like SPL/Powertrix instead.

Was going to keep stock FUCA as I don't really trust much after Dean's horror thread. If they don't do the job I'll swap them out for a set of UAS braces.

Could be wrong about the strut braces, will ask on the US forums and find out, thanks!

Well Rob, you best get onto finding a set before I do ;)

  7. Anti

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

So trim the metalwork out for clearance? It's really simple to check if your FUCA's will foul upon travel without actually driving the car.

Helps when they are installed correctly :)

Mine were installed correctly for the record, being low was the cause of failure.

Deciding to ditch the top feed fuel rail and injectors. Going to use 1200cc side feeds with the 300 degree rail.

    Why ?

I think I remember reading some where that large Side feeds don't have the same control as the Top feeds thus making life difficult at idle.

    YES WHY ?

    Much better setup.

better injectors at that size .
ease of fitment and removal .
    less clutter with visual access

    don't be silly.:)

Haven't heard that one, any idea as to where you heard it?

Either the winfactory one fouls on the bonnet or the BDE requires you to send half your engine over there for machining or pay stupid prices for core charges.

Came down to price and the fact that there isn't a reasonable aftermarket option.

Plus I don't need anything larger than 1200cc and the ease of fitting/removal isn't something that phases me.

winfactory clears the bonnet and the carbing strut brace

I heard it fouls on the stock bonnet?

There's a minimum $1000 difference between the two setups.

don't know where you heard that ??

obviously if it clears under the strut brace its no where near the bonnet

depending on the topfeeds you use on how much more the kit costs .

the actual rail is a good price and doesn't require plenum pulls machining etc .$700us +$750 -- 1000cc injectors

or you could buy my 1000cc injectors for $500 :p

5min job on and off ..

If I had to do it again I'd go the same way .:)

    You're running id1000's aren't you?

I think I heard it from Rob.

Jamie are you aware that Winfactory recently released a v2 of the fuel rail? Now CNC aluminium rather than stainless.
    Blurb from the website:

"The New CNC aluminum fuel rail uses -8 AN fittings for the inlet and outlet. The use of aluminum makes construction faster and tolerances tighter. Running E85 through the rail is not a problem as every rail is hard anodized for long term protection. The rail is still designed around fitting under the stock throttle cable cover, retaining both throttle and cruise control cable locations and around the more affordable Bosch EV14 LS7 style injectors which you can purchase at your local parts store with a large variety of sizes to choose from (ecu chip tuned accordingly of course)."

Does mention it fits under the throttle cable cover so clearance to bonnet should be a non issue.
