    Hey guys,

I have an NA 300zx z32 1989, a few months ago i got my clutch master cylinder replaced, the mechanic told me everything else was fine. 4 weeks later, i had to top up my master cylinder reservoiur... this was odd. But i topped it up and it was still running fine, 4 weeks later... again almost empty, topped up, few weeks later it got alot lower then before as a result the clutch pedal would go straight to the floor when i pressed down and wouldnt return to the starting position.

I tried bleeding the slave cylinder, not sure if i did it right, but no success... pumping the pedal did nothing...

Its so unusual because literally the day before i was driving it around and was all fine...

    Can anyone help me?

Well there is definately a leak somewhere. Check around the master cylinder, inside the car, the slave, all connections, all bleed points. If you can't find the leak, look harder.

Bleeding Zed clutches is a PITA. They have up to 3 bleed points. One on the salve, one near the drivers side headlight and sometimes one on the master. You have to bleed each point about 3 times one after the other making sure the reservoir doesn't empty. Also have the front of the car jacked up nice and high.

yeah, i see a nipple on the front right side near the headlight, but its on the end of an aluminium tube, i was going to bleed it but wasn't sure if i would be letting the air con pressure out... If what i said doesnt make sense, i can take a photo...

Yeah there is a leak, which i believe is just above the slave cylinder, im guessing it must be from a hose? Also i touched the boot on the slave cylinder and it seemed quite loose, pressing the slave cylinder in would also make the boot leak...

That boot is just a dust cover. You also said pressing the slave cylinder in would cause it to leak. Make sure the bleed nipple is tight in case it is leaking from the nipple.
Once you have done that, check it... if its still leaking your seal on the slave cylinder is gone. get a new slave cylinder.

Shouldn't be fluid under the boot. Lilkely that your slave is leaking.

Yes the nipple on the end of the ally tube is for bleeding the clutch. Air con gas lines all run on the passenger side.

Most of the time bleeding from the nipple near the drivers headlight in the engine bay is more than sufficient. It is usually only when there is some kind of hydrolic lock that the other points need to be bled.

    Peace :)
