Reversing into the garage this evening and clutch pedal went to floor. Car stalled, got it out of gear and restarted for power steering and brakes. Couldn't grab any gear. Had to push the car in and slightly up hill too.
Anyway there was a small pool of fluid where car had sat, shone a torch on the clutch reservoir to see it empty.
I think i have done a seal somewhere because it was sudden but will investigate 2moro when I have time.

    Your Slave cylinder is rooted

Do yourself a favour and replace Slave AND Master cylinders at the same time Bruce.

Preventative maintenance is the name of the game with zeds

p.s throw in a braided SS clutch line if you don't have one already (eliminates all the unnecessary plumbing)

    IB ?????

Could have just been the hose to the slave cylinder springing a leak.

    Thanks.
Ive ordered a Slave AND Master cylinder, braided line from Rob260 for peace of mind.
I'll have a crack at putting them in myself.
Any pitfalls for the average punter?

It's a piece of cake to install.

Screw the SS line into the M/cyl (loosely) before you fit the cyl .... it will make life easier for you. Thread the SS line down the side of the bellhousing and loop it around before fitting it to the slave. I used the old oem clutch lines (hardpipes) on the firewall as anchor points to attach the SS line out of harms way with cable ties. I ended up using about half a dozen (that's 6 for you metricophiles) ........ just to make sure it was going to be safe.

Once you have it assembled it will take about 3 minutes to bleed. You only use about a cup full of fluid  (you can bin all that crap running along the top of your inner guard too)
