Classic Japan - 7th December - Melbourne (Como Park)

I have noticed that there is a classic japan day on the 7th of December in South Yarra. Details as below. Anyone attending? I'll definetly be having a look:

The Toyota Car Club of Victoria are pleased to announce Classic japan will once again be held at Como Park in Sth Yarra.
The event is a huge celebration of Japanese car and bike culture. No trophies, no egos, just a bunch of enthusiasts coming out for a picnic on the grass with their classic J-tin bike or car.
When: Sunday December 7th
Cost: Gold coin donation (lash out and give them a note!) ? all proceeds to the Fred hollows foundation
Entry: Cars- via Alexandra Ave, South Yarra. Gates open at 8am and close at 9am for entries. Spectator parking will be in the streets around the venue.
Please note there are no ?club displays? at this event. Simply come on down and park next to another equally passionate J-tin owner.

 

I could be interested in going and putting my Z on display if there is a group of Z owners wanting to attend and display as well.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't the cars on display have to be pre-1988?

Classic Japan is pre 1988. Have to wait a few years for the Z32 to be eligible.

 

Ah kool, thanks mark. When the z is eligible im in for this event if other people are.

 

It's pre-1989 for 2014, and someone snuck in a Z32 last year anyway. Just rock up and see if they'll let you in, Adam. Your car looks ultra clean, so I'd say your chances are pretty good. Even if they refuse entry, just park on the street and enjoy the show.

Thanks mate, very much appreciated, I still need to have the car cut and polished by a professional and I hope when its all prettied up it will be classified as one of the best Z32's in all of Australia.:zlove:

 

I'll be going to this with the CSA club. I thought mine was too new too but they said it's fine since the car is on club plates.
