I recently bought a Boss Kit off a forum member and it doesn't fit properely. The Boss Kit is for the non cruise-control model. My car did come with cruise control, but it's since been removed. I was told that it would still work, but it doesn't look like it will The problem i'm having isn't with the spline, but with the contact pins for the horn and cruise control... There are three pins on the steering column: the middle one controlling the horn. On the Boss Kit, the metallic ring that makes contact with these pins only contacts the innermost one (the middle one only makes contact with the plastic surround of the Boss Kit) Is there a way to make this Boss Kit work, or will I need to buy one with the cruise control buttons?
I've been thinking... would it be possible to rewire it so that the innermost pin activates the horn, as opposed to the middle one?
Rewire was successful Problem should now be solvered. Let's hope there are no other problems with this Boss Kit
