boost creep from nowhere

    I know I can be lazy not reading posts top to bottom thoroughly :eek:

    Didn't expect an SR13 with a STI ........in the Z32 Technical Section LOL! - seriously........... :gtfo:

    That's possible too. I want to log a run with consult but the weather doesn't let me. The base timing is OK though, checked it yesterday 15 degrees steady

    Just re read the first post and damned if I can see that he mentioned it was an s13- then looked at the pics again and saw it clear as day........ I knew always it was a long shot and that it was only a slight possibilty that restrictors would have done anything. Yes I knew it was a single turbo, I was just trying to think of something different to check for that was even remotely possible. my bad...

    Guys just solved it. As i suspected the low voltage was the problem. I checked the ignition and eccs relay and realized that the eccs relay was dead. Although the engine was running without it for some reason, but that was the reason the voltage was 3volts down. Changed the relay and everything now is good again. 13.5 voltage, tha afrs are ok and the boost at the previous levels. Thank you all for the support....

    So was it actually over boosting or were the gauges just wigging out due to voltage problems?
