ye i get wat u sayin, but ye he didnt have traction control. they do have traction control stock but that is useless and they dont use it when they drag coz it fkts them up.... the stock traction control systems are not really good, ud want a proper aftermarket one if u wanted to get full control of it.... but those xr's are exceptionally well to hook up. it really annoys me how well they can put their power to the ground.... guess its heavy car, plus soft suspension, etc... each car is diff... lol dude that vl had 260rwkw with slicks on lol the zeds didnt shine at all that night
exactly.. so much time goes into these things, as we know ,,, why stuff around .. go for what you can .. once all said and done, you do not what to build something for power and have it go slow because that's what you wanted ....( everyone's different ) . i mean you defeating the purpose of it all together .. we spend heaps and heaps of time to get what we want , and at the end of the day that's to go fast and put the zed on the map .... when i see a zed fly, it puts a smile on my face i dont care who's it is ,,, thats just me ...
well i dont need to wish because if i wanted i could also take out a loan and pay someone to build me a 300zx like yours, but unlike you i don't feel the need to do that.. ive never even posted a picture of my zed on this forum let alone a dyno chart, most people here wouldn't even know what color my zed is.. its a pity that after all that money you spent on the engine and time (spent fitting veilside rear bars?) you still only manage a 14.8s 1/4 mile... like badxtc says numbers are numbers.. dyno isn't where it counts most

When my rebuild comes, I'll be aiming for around 300rwkw. That seems an attainable figure without going over the top, and also allowing the car to be driven as a daily without killing ones' self and/or breaking the car every second day because the engine has too much power for the rest of the drive train to handle. I hope that will also get me into the 11 second passes, considering 210rwkw got me a 12.6.
July 4th, Winton Race track...$30 gets you a full day on the track. all you track virgins should really give it a go and stop all this "my C@ck is bigger then yours" bullsh!t. onto the topic, power is useless unless you know how to use it. if you have the right tyres and suspension setup, I would say that 300rwkw is a good number for the zed. build your zed for 350rwkw on high boost and leave it on low boost on the street for about 280rwkw, you wont regret it.
X 2 100% in agreement ! I hate driving my purple ZX in the wet.... its a nightmare and I get headaces from having to concerntrate so intensly... BUT........... on a good day be it street or strip the more you have the better the fun (& I've just added around another 60rwkw to an allready high number of ponies ...... ) ok so I'm an addict for speed & performance, I hate driving the stock white TT, bloody slug if ya ask me, but there are those that are frightened off by its power !!!!, personally, if I had an endless wallet then I'd be looking at a lot more mods of the very expensive kind..... tipping a dyno with 1000 kw's would be my kind of rush ! Wise old mate once said...... having 800HP is all well and fine, but useless if you can only put 400 of it to the ground effectivily......but when you learn to put all those horses to the ground, your smile will be as wide as ya wheels ! He wasnt quite right... my smile isnt as big as the 275/40/17's but its damn close
