    Yeah this subject has been covered many times. Try using key words in the search field like 'manual' and 'conversion'.

    As far as cost goes it all depends how much you can get everything for and if you can do it yourself. If you need someone to do it for you, looking around $3K+, parts themselves can range from $1250 for everything or just the box alone. All depends on how many are around and what people want for them.

    Is it worth it? Well after I had a fang around of a TT manual, I bought all the bits to do the job 2 months later and my car is due to came back to life in a week or so. Will it be worth, I reckon it will be ;)

    Bits you will need;

    • Gearbox
    • Shifter
    • Tail Shaft
    • Spigot Bearing
    • Clutch
    • Flywheel
    • Clutch Master
    • Clutch Master Booster if TT
    • Clutch Pedal
    • Clutch Slave Cylinder
    • Hydraulic pipe work inlcuding bleeder or get a new teflon braided line to replace it
