Aquiring/Fabricating 3rd Brake Lens - Fitting F40 Type Rear Wing

Long story short I am wondering if anyone has any tips on fabricating lens???

Also as how to mount this spoiler properly???

I'm not really fussed about running actual 3rd brake light. Actually probably prefer not to so I can paint it whatever I want.

Also I hear OE lens is pretty flimsy/breakable.

Long Story. Basically I parked my car behind another ladies at a mates place where he was bordering. Leaving the window open overnight because it was hot. And woke up to find the stupid bitch has pushed my car down the driveway into a friggen tree. Friggen up my stock foam spoiler. So I had to drive around with this dent in my spoiler for a while now, looking like I don't know how to drive or something. So first replacement I have been able to get is this F40 type spoile which I am really happy with the look of. Spoiler is used and fiberglass so I have started filling with polyurethane to reinforce around where it mounts as it is pretty flimsy. I would like to mount it properly and so it can be removed relatively easily if necessary.

Thanks, But I hear OEM is pretty crap. And your lucky to be able to get it off without breaking it. (This is what I hear not from experience). And also pretty expensive for what its worth. Would prefer to fabricate my own. Perhaps set up job on CNC so I can make a few more for mates who need out of whatever material. Ie plastic/aluminium etc.

I'm pretty sure you can modify & adapt HOLDEN PARTS to fix your Z

maybe if you upload your damaged rear "foam" wing with your car people would take your more seriously.

 

Coz actually sells 3rd brake light / rear infill panels pretty cheap - and given the LHD pics uploaded - Coz is probably fairly 'local' to you!
The time, trouble, problem solving involved with doing your own - it's not worth anyone's time to bother making their own (unless you're unemployed I guess). And I wouldn't expect to make money out of selling something home-made because (hopefully), most Z owners still have enough class to avoid making their car look like a total POS.

He has already given us a general location for where he lives. not to mentiuon I doubt there would be many people in the US considering a holden as a donor for an engine..... yes I know its a buick engine but hell how long since GM put it in an American car.
