After noticing a strong smell of petrol every now and then(followed by a pool of petrol under my car)after refilling at a Service Station, I pulled the spare wheel and checked the Fuel Pump mounting plate. Sure Nuf! Big leak. Down I go to my local NISSAN dealer spare parts department(hoping they will have a new 'O' ring for the plate, and to see how long before it will come in). Two big surprises, A: They actually have one in stock. B: It apparently also fits a Lambo(because the bloody thing costs $20). Because the unsolicited smell of petrol bothers me lately, I bit the bullet and grudgingly bought the little mongrel and took it home. When fitting it, I found the original had swelled and broken in half(part of which was lying in the bottom of the tank). No more petrol smell(and no more looking over my shoulder at anyone with a cigarette lighter). No more money either.:zlove:
good find dude, take any pics when replacing the mongrel, ive heard getting the o-ring out of a 2seater can be a tricky task
If anyone is after a cheaper one a bearing shop should have no hassle with it either. Just make sure you get a Viton one
