Hey Fam, new to the group and just got my first Z as a barn find, immaculate condition and was running perfectly before being parked up for 15 years. Just looking for a recommendation on a mechanic in the ACT to pull the motor and replace all perishables like o rings, gaskets and rubber hoses that have deteriorated and check everything is good to go. I have already replaced fuel pump and hanger and cleaned all rust out of fuel tank and removed radiator with rusted fluids, drained oil and changed fuel and oil filter but know there is still corrosion and deteriorated rubber in places

Welcome Bruce, I suspect you have a naturally aspirated z32. If that's the case, a good experienced mechanic should be able to repair your find. If its a TT, things get a little more difficult but not insurmountable. I cant recommend anyone to you, im in victoria, but im sure there is a mechanic in your area who should be able to help, an ACT 300zx member might be able to recommend someone if they see your post. Good luck.

Lots of places wont want to touch these, especially when you need an engine out type of job. There is nobody who really specialises in them.
Might be worth trying making a call to Paul Whyte automotive in gunghalin. Other than that start ringing around.
Pretty much all owners around here diy.

Might also be worthwhile reaching out the the Canberra chapter of the Z Car Club
