Being someone that isn't very mechanically minded, and having most mods that will get around 300 hp, what additionally would i need for the extra 100 hp. currently i have the below mods:

    Blitz Boost Controller
    Evo - Cat back exhaust
    Japtek - SMIC
Greddy - E manage Blue ?? looking to get Nistune if worth while
    Air Filter - Blitz

I'd assume test pipes and dumps would be next step??

    after suggestions and estimated cost

    Thanx :br:

What boost are you currently running to get 300rwhp?

To get 400rwhp safely you will also need bigger injectors and Nistune.

(eManage Blue is pretty basic, Ultimate is much better, but we now have Nistune available for our cars, so you wouldn't even look at these options for a zed, not in the same ball park)

    For 400rwhp? Why? That's a big expense.

Stock motor, highflowed or bigger turbos, bigger smics, dumps, injectors, Nistune = 400rwhp easy

Currently running 11 PSI, thought as much for the Nistune, e-manage is on the car as it was imported from Japan that way. The tuner (Chequered Tuning) said it currently serves a purpose but Nistune would be better.

Rob, which turbo's would you suggest (don't want to go to bananas) as 400 rwhp is all I am really trying to achieve here.

No thanks, what Shane has suggested will suffice for me. Basically looking at bolt ons to stock internals. don't mind pending some money over time, just looking for a shopping list and rough price for parts/install

Personally, I'd start with injectors (nothing huge), dumps and Nistune. Then configure your EBC to run 14 / 16psi. That will probably just about get you there on stock turbos (assuming they are healthy). Stock turbos will run possibly as high as 18/20psi, though I'd only run them to this in short bursts.

Highflowed stocks would probably be cheapest turbo upgrade option?

Tip: If you can, run it on United's Premium 100 fuel (PULP 98 + 10% ethanol).

Id buy the GT2560R that Andrew/Minivan has for sale. You won't make 400hp with stock turbos...

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

The Nistune will serve you much better than the GReddy, Trent is right.

You'll need a to upgrade your turbos, minimum go a set of high flowed stockies. These, with injectors, a tune and maybe dumps (not sure if the latter is necessary) will do the job and get you 400. It did for me. Standard auto cams, standard motor.

Yeah Trent would know best, although e was surprised at the power without Nistune, said it must be the piggy back but couldn't say why..

Possibly, but the Premium 100 fuel will certainly help also.

Basically this less what you have: http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_343&products_id=1081

Read 500rwhp instead of 600rwhp, the US number converts to flywhell HP, 500rwhp would be roughly a max with plenty of boost.

I would be tempted to snavel these injectors (Z1 sell for $1725 USD): http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1421215&highlight=nismo+injectors#post1421215

The purple top early style injector is limited to about 450rwhp with out bumping fuel pressure. (would require adjustable fuel reg)

    or these: http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=330708&highlight=injectors

    Yellows will see 500rwhp.

You can do with out the Selin dual intake at 400rwhp, but this setup will have potential over that mark, so unless you tailor your boost to suit you are in the territory of "pegging" a single MAF at approx 500rwhp, in other words the MAF will reach its capacity, dual filters and MAF will also assist by taking restriction out of the intake and assist with spool up.

Numbers say it is not needed but I would highly recommend the dual intake.

Get a Z1 EEPROM as it will allow you to start and drive the car to a dyno and make a good starting point for Nistune.

I would spend the extra $28 USD and get the AMS downpipes and get the 3" to 2.5" test pipes, that will marry up to your cat back.

Consider some 3" cats as well, Jamie might do a deal for the front half of the exhaust advertised here, just need 2.5" flanges to marry up to your exhaust unless you want 3" all the way: http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=330821&highlight=cats

I've sent them an email to ask what's going on.

I'll be seriously pissed myself if they do drop this fuel. For me E85 is no go as I need to do 1 hour races. So this fuel is perfect.
