If the supplier is impressed enough, suggest a few more door card clips in each kit.

It was meant to be 30 of each kit......

but I put the screws on and got it reduced to 20 When it became obvious that 90% of members wanted the Full Kit, it was agreed to supply both kits in whatever quantity was ordered This is a good deal, I don't want to get too pushy

 

Spot on, Ian ... it would be foolhardy to put the current excellent price at any risk.

The deal was made for 20. Done.

But now you are there to say "thanks for the 20, as agreed, how about 30 more."

If he doesn't seem impressed then just say thanks for doing an extra 30, but if he is impressed let him do something. (obviously won't be price because people have paid and no one wants a refund of 50cents,, but could be extra product) That's all

Let me explain how a GB works......

A price is negotiated on the proposed purchase of a 'minimum quantity' of goods. We need to purchase 'at least that quantity' to ensure the GB price.... any extra is a sweetener for the supplier and justifies them taking a punt on doing the GB

I understand what you're saying but what you propose (best deal for MAX purchases) would need an Expression Of Interest thread (forbidden on this forum) which would be a disaster anyway (30 people put their hand up, and 11 people follow through )

The GB scenario may not be perfect, but it's a good way of negotiating the BEST prices on goods. I've done one or two GB's (I have the empty Panadol bottles to prove it ) and they consistently generate worthwhile savings for forum members.
