thanks man all did go well ,

so i had 3 passes all night was hot and a busy but i didnt care i just wanted to go out there and have a play . ( the norm these days for calder ) anyway . so the car did really good and i was happy with it all,
the best run was a 10.3 at 139.7 mph at 27 degree day temp, so was good , it didnt spin the wheels at all so im happy as for that , the car will go 9ns 100% as is , but i do need to sort out some things like shift light as i was really just changing gears at somewhat random times also the flat shift was not working as we are still trying to sort some things out with it, i was running launch control for take of and that was the best thing, mine was more acting like a 2 step then a launch control , as the front wheel speed sensor ( abs) was not working ,( trent sent all the info to the syvecs in order to sort this out )

so the things that killed me was
no referance for the gear change ( shift lights etc etc )
    flat shift not working
the launch was a little aggressive for me as i didnt expect the car to take of so hard so i got me by suprise a little but got used to in as i went on 4500 rpm at 10 psi ,, was fast no wheel spin at all just hook and book , so i will turn it to 12 psi latter on ,, boost per speed was not working just set to 40ks after that back to 16 psi ,

    first pass 10.8 at 135mph
    2nd pass 10.3 at 139.7 mph
3 pass well the dash cover came of and smacked my helmet at and that was over ran a 10.5 last pass , at this point i called it a nigh. the car will go 9ns 100%

i have photos and vids as well il post up soon .
i hope you guys enjoy it

    cheers alex

    Awsome stuff
You are running rearwheel speed from the gearbox sensor or the abs?

  6. badxtc

    Damn that thing hooks up!
Looks like you had a hoot. Must be a good feeling seeing things work. Even tho you still have a few things to touch up on...

hahahah bad man was a long and crazy build , but yes 100% happy , its plucken mental , the launch is intense tbh, got me by surprise a little but got it in the end ,its at 4500 rpm atm at 10 psi , will try 4800 and 12 psi i think , the tires are great hands down (mickey thompson 315/35/17 ET streets) i was on 12 psi in the tires ,

i will sort out these things ( and the driver ) and ill go back for the 9,

i do have some vibration and turning up top i think the steering rack is plucked you can see in one of the vids i was struggling to keep the car straight on the top end , braking area, ill sort that out as well , im going to pull the full front out and have a good look at it , its alway been a little funny most likely going to replace everything in the front ,, but my only thing is i want to go manual rack i dont want electric steering anymore or anything for that matter, just rack.

i also want to get a single carbon fiber targa top made up, but will see ,

    hi guys , small update
so i got the car back today from tuning,
he set up the antilag and the launch control and turned it up a little for take off . still running 16 psi ( full boost ) but about 12 on take off now , was 10 before
also set up the flat shift and thats working 100% its crazy with flat shift bad, new car all together , the auto blip was not set up completely still needs a little tuning, but is fine as is for now
the only thing that not working is the stock gtr shift lights in the stock dash , ill let the guys at syvecs know and see what they can do if anything tbh, but its fine ill work something out , i was looking at the sequential shift light and im not a fan , i think i will go for the new gizzmo dual shift that will work great , one light is pre worn and other light is change and this will work for me just fine ..
i also got the gktech rear lower control arms , these go in 15mm and out 15mm well i will be going in 15mm to get the fat wheels on , ( plus body work ) 26804807_10157020544421040_1117118987307904797_n.jpg 27067469_10157020544511040_4333826916129947613_n.jpg

Hi guys been a while but her goes , just a small heads up

so i ran into some issues with the zed , so i haven't been out in some time , plus trying to find the problem to rectify it , so as it turns out i lost my flat shift ,etc etc at this point we thought that it was the ecu , so i sent the ecu back to syvecs and there was nothing wrong with it , turns out it was the strain gauge in the gear lever , so thats has now been replaced by holinger at no cost , as show that its working so im going back to trents to re set up, once all this is done in the next few days it be going back to Calder on the 11th April to get my 9 . we have not done anything to the power but just took some power out on the top end ( i must keep this engine safe 100% for the rebuild ) ive taken out 40kgs as well , all in all should be fun

    YES 11th may.

thanks mate, ill take all the luck i can , should be ok tho all i want is to touch the 9ns thats all then im done , its really not turned up at all 16 psi , but thats because i need to save the engine , and dont want to put nothing at risk
one goal was to call it a 9 second street car with full trim , thats all, id like to do 8ts full trim one day soon , the trick for me will be doing all the with DOT ( ET) tires , not drag slicks , ill try my best ,
