Hosted by The Seven Of Clubs and Rising Sun Collectors Register of Australia at Earnshaw College, Banyo on Sunday 8th June 2014.

Was a brilliant day, fantastic weather (getting slight sunburn on the back of the neck in winter, only in QLD.....) great to see more 300ZXs there then ever before (8 in total). Myself, FireHorse and JamainexD started from Brisbane West - well done Jamaine coming up from the Gold Coast that early! - then met up with scottyoz1962 and EJC at Nudgee to cruise in together. Hulk30dett was already there in his bright green Z (which I had never seen before, don't think any of us had met him in person until then) and we were joined later in the day by luke300 and RoryZ. As promised, Z Steve also turned up on his Jap bike and was having a great day until some other bike parked next to him. I don't much about bikes, but from his reaction it would be like someone parking a Honda Civic with neons and spinning rims in front of our Z group. :p

Hope you enjoy the pics (taken with a Canon 70D), here's the facebook link if you want to tag yourself/mates/comment, please feel free to copy and keep pics of your own car or any others you like! :zlove:

It's a great relaxed day out and we want to keep increasing the numbers - 3 last year, 8 this year - let's aim for at least one dozen in 2015! Keep in mind also that Easter 2015 is the Z Nationals at Morgan Park, Warwick - put it in your diary! :D

Plus to top it all off, you'll see in my very last pic that on the day I couldn't resist - I bought one of the most legendary cars of all time - I dare you to disagree! :cool2:

Getting ready on Saturday - 2 kids, 2 wings, worked out well: ;)

Well welcome too the disease we call "300zx's" or "Zeds" hope you get a good one and as Kris said have a look on the forum, there are few for sale mine included and an assortment of other nice cars.

Remember no question is not a "noob" question, unlike some on here were not all eggspurts oops i meant experts .

It certainly is a disease, but it's a disease i'm happy to live with :zlove:
I brought my first zed at 17 then just over a year later I couldn't resist so I brought Gary's (BlueZ) old zed for a real good price.
Flew all the way from the Gold Coast to Melbourne and drove it back to the Gold Coast within a day :D :br:
If the price is right, don't hesitate to jump on it even if it's in another state

Great stuff, you guys have set a high benchmark. I guess I will have to spend more bucks to get mine to that stage. At least then there will be a red Zed there to add some color to the line up.

Yea i had a good look through the classifieds on here, either out of my price range or not what i was looking for (being TT and manual), Im in South Brisbane, down near Logan (read: In the ghetto) Im going to look at the Blue 300 that was posted on the FB page the one with the Greddy front bar. It been for sale for a while so i dont know what expect from it, any hints or tips on what i should have a closer look at? ( I have read through posts and threads on here from people asking the same thing, so i have a decent idea of what to look for, but anything that commonly goes on the Z's that i should pay particular attention to?)

Well best advice i can give is this, take it to someone like Karl aka 90TTZ for a real good once over as he is down that way, or ask some of the experienced guys like Magickmike , ztoy , or others if they wouldn't mind tagging along and having a look.

Cheaper doesn't always mean it's a crapbox, it could just mean he/she/they want too sell and hence a lower price, some of the ones you have seen maybe negotiable on price, never be afraid to ask. And auto's can always be converted over to manual easily enough.

Just DON'T RUSH IN and buy the first one you see, look around even if you have too travel to get one, it will be worth it in the end.

No you don't have to spend big bucks Deacon , a lot of it is all show and polish :p . But it will be good to see a few more show up and yes different colours would be good.

But a good way around worrying about your car on a show day is to have a " Too do list " listing all the plans for the car and idea's .

Agree Scotty - they added a bit of a laugh to the day, even though it certainly was a 'what the?' moment when you first see them.....

Niall and Karl - certainly would be great to have Zeds of your quality with us next year! Otherwise people might think we only come in two choices - black or lambo-door green. :p (and yes one of ours was dark blue, but amongst the black army, who could tell? :D )
