Deceased estate sale - this 300zx has been the pride and joy of an elderly Z enthusiast for close to 20 years. I have worked on this Z for the last 15 years and am assisting the family with finding its new owner. During his ownership no expense was spared with its maintenence and upkeep, although over the last few years it has seen minimal use.

Originally black, it was repainted red in Japan before being imported to Australia in 2004. It's set up with a GFB dual stage boost controller that can be switched from the cabin, running stock boost (9psi) and high boost (~13psi) on the factory turbos. Mechanically, it is all original with the exception being a pair of large side-mount intercoolers to support the higher boost in Queensland weather.

Since I have been working on this Z, it's had an extensive list of maintenence performed over the years and will come with a lot of original parts, and the original Veilside front bumper. Unable to confirm exacty what else will be included as the family continue to find stuff as they go through the house.

In 2020, we completed a full mechanical overhaul with a replacement engine and transmission fitted. This included $6500 in parts replaced Documentation of the replacement including compression test results available upon request. During this time the following was also done:
    - Major '200k' service including all timing gear, water pump, oil seals etc. replaced
    - Major 'plenum pull' top engine service completed including valve cover gaskets, fuel rail seals, vacuum hoses replaced.
    - Every engine bay hose replaced (air, fuel, oil, coolant, intake, power steering)
    - New radiator fan & clutch fan
    - Mishimoto radiator
    -External transmission cooler
    - All filters replaced
    - Brake calipers rebuilt, braided lines, slotted discs & street performance pads fitted
    - Inland Empire single piece dampened aluminium driveshaft

Within the last 10 years all suspension has been refreshed including:
    - New KYB shocks & Eibach lowering springs
    - Various suspension bushes replaced
    - Hicas deleted
    - New OEM front upper control arms
    - Hicas deleted

Tires replaced 3000km ago (approx 2021). Immobiliser fitted and comes with 3x keys (including the original titanium key).

Includes the below history and receipts across his ownership (while I haven't added it up there's easily over 50k in receipts over the years):
    - 1x folder - Registration
    - 1x folder - Dealership & workshop service history
    - 2x folders - Parts invoices & documentation of work done on the Z

Cons listed below, I have tried to represent to the best of my knowledge however it is a classic car so may require additional work. I may be able to assist the new owner in sourcing any parts required also.
    - Generally presents well, however not in concours condition. Up close the 25+ year old paint does show signs of wear and age (however does come up extremely well with a buff and wax).
    - Similarly, the original interior presents well but does show some common signs of age.
    - Runs and drives well currently, though will be some mechanical work required in the near future:
    - Alternator bearing noisy (has been for 5+ years)
    - Differential input shaft bearing requires attention as making noise (no play in bearing)
    - Undiagnosed oil leak (suspect from power steering rack or hicas lines that weren't blocked after delete)
    - Some play in steering (suspect tie rod replacement required) and damaged rear hicas ball joint boots.
    - Small spot of rust emerging around drivers T-top drain hole (approx 10c piece size)
    - Due for minor service based on time (engine oil, filter & brake fluid)

Upon purchase, funds will need to be paid to the estate. The executor has chosen to sell 'as is' so will be sold unregistered and without a rwc. We have priced the Z this in to consideration along with the work it needs. Viewing by appointment can be arranged after hours or on weekends.

I'm surprised that 6 months later you've had no responses.
Sounds like a Zed worth buying, very close to OEM. But I couldn't see the asking price.

Your ad reads like the one I'm composing to sell my Zed, a mixture of the best features with some honest warnings about what needs attention. Good one.

btw, the IMG link is broken. Cheers, Mick.
