    Based on.....?

X force have a much larger range (in terms of style) than magnaflow, and they are 2.5" inlet unlike maggys which are 2.25" inlet in the street range.

I'd likely agree with this ordering too, but also would be most expensive to least expensive aswell.

A message from XForce to my email today about the availability of their muffler:

"We have the left and right side oval muffler for 300ZX with twin 3"tip, the inlet of the mufflers are 3". Muffler body size is 6X9."

Magnaflow #14816 only 2.25" inlet. muffler body 5X8.... (based on their website). Still waiting confirmation from Chris of Bestmuffler though.

So if the price is right, which one would you prefer? the bigger the inlet/bigger body mean better performance or what?

I would go for the inlet that matches my rear pipes. No point fitting 3" inlet mufflers to 2.25" pipes or vice versa.

    What do you have now?

How much is the standard labour charge for rear muffler fitting if you bring your own ? I mean not necessarily Chris but any exhaust shop..

I was charged $50 earlier this year to have 2 Mufflers removed & replaced.

NFI, call around and get some quotes.

It's going to vary depending on what you get done.

Chopping off your factory mufflers and welding on new ones I would think is fairly cheap.

But then do you want them to make up a cat back? 2.5" or 3"? Stainless or mild? You get the idea...

    Where are you located?
