yeah i am man , very good number ....... you know what the good thing about this is, that we tuned it on shell pump fuel . no Tricks no water spray , no nos , no nothing just pump fuel that's it . nothing more , so I'm making 350+ on the street everyday no problem the point is that its a genuine 350rwkw , that's what counts to me ,,,, fuel and toys are good and fun , but its no way what I'm looking for . i can drive into and ( SHELL ) and drive out with 350 rwkw, so at the end of the day , very happy
Very nice number for the boost pressure, those turbos were meant to sing at higher levels than 20PSI. At least it was tuned properly, dyno tuning while it's the safest also is not a true representation of real driving conditions which will typically yield more power due to higher intercooling efficiency.
Hey Alex, congratulations on the numbers mate, always known your car was a weapon ever since the East Link cruise, spins up anywhere at any speed.... Question, why is your power curve so jumpy?? Not smooth at all??
thanks man , your looking at the boost ,, well this controller is still learning , so it should smoothen out soon i hope , the boost started to fall of at 4750 rpm, so its not really doing it job ATM . but it will make more power , its not over , the tune is hot so, 2 or 3 psi more to go ,, if this boost controller does not smarten up then out the car goes . i really want to get that i-color thing ,but there still 1000 buck, i'm just going to wait till they drop down a little , and even then see how i go ....
yeah i will get more out of them , plus they have been slightly modded , for better flow ,, they are a nice unit , and as we can see work well .... so at the time it was a good decision ........
what controller are you using?? Ive used Apexi Avcr and a few mates too.... never seen a boost curve that eradic with one of them.... actually, ive only seen quite smoth curves with the Apexi... maybe give one a go?? Only bout 450 second hand...

yeah that's what I'm using , the apexi avcr.. yeah the line is all over the place lol , but all good , i think its more just teething now , ill try my best and sort it out ,,, its funny cause a few guy here and in the USA dont really like them at all ......( I'm one of them ) this is one big reason why i never liked the ebc, because they can not boost enough and they can over boost at any time , and you really dont now that its doing it , even tho you boost gauge says e.g 20 psi . the problem is getting it to 20 psi , if you running a boost map like mine then you know its shit .. lets just hope the controller is still learning , if not all good , ill do something .. i still got my old set up here ..... there is nothing at all wrong with boost jets , they will never do this . love them .. you set them to e.g 22 and it will always go to 22, 99.9 % of the time. with the ebc you just never really know what it wants to do. if you have a look at boost map with boost jets , your not going to see a line like mine , never ...it just cant do it ...
I'm not really ,, but for things like this, i dont think i really really want it . i would rather mbc set it and forget it ...
when the probe is positioned on the out side of the car , it measures exactly the air charge that the car is getting, A LOT of people put them next to the engine , in a hot spot , so it get hotter intake charge ( well that's what the dyno thinks ) heaps of people do this ,,, and it cheating , the dyno result , will go sky high. rough e.g if you got 200rwkw . with the probe in the engine ( hot spot ) the car can make well over 200rwkw ,, and at the end of the day your read out will be wrong , its not going to be a true number at all , and also not close to what it should be .. now because i'm not a dyno boy . I'm not really interested to know , how everything works , on one .. ( i dont like them i never did ) there are other guys on the forum that can explain it a lot better then what i can , maybe they can put there 2 sen in but a genuine 350 rwkw in the car , puts a smile on my face all day
