if its never been fitted it might have been a miss batch at the very start... or the seller is trying to gip u.. but i doubt it...
My guess is misbatch/mispost by ACPT too. I don't think the seller was trying to gip me as everything seems legit. Street to Strip said ACPT were told to send my seller a 2-seater auto shaft so looks like they might have made a mistake, guess it happens if you have heaps of orders to fill. Unfortunately it's been almost a year now...fingers crossed it all works out.
Pics I compared mine with my two piece drive shaft from my manual 89 2 seater and they match up ok. Approx 115cm. Pics are below, if you click them it'l link to the full size ones (7.1MP) Hope they help.
..I am... ......sorting something out with Vaughan that should be satisfactory to him, thanks guys:zlove: ACPT has a great product, but of late, has been way below par with their service, unfortunately. This recent mistake is one of several that have been made to mu customers, both Forum and Non Forum over the past 6 months. This is why I have researched PST products and also their service. So far their service has been excellent and their products every bit as good as ACPT I cannot afford to have my customers inconvenienced, it reflects on my business:bash:
Thanks Clayman. I love how the full pics shows the marks on the tape measure haha. But yeah, confirms what I already feared. Dammit...oh well, CF driveshaft for sale LMAO. So, given the size of mine, does anyone know whether it's for a manual or auto 2+2? Or are they the same length?
Yer figured it'd be better to have the measure in there and take the shot so you can see the numbering, makes it far easier
Still unsolve for me..... dude I have the same problem at this point. I received 2 CF driveshaft and none fit my Z... And I'm still waiting news from ACPT
for all that money thats a crock of ... thats really weird that you have recieved a 2+2 TT shaft as in the US they only ever had NA 2+2's and all 2+2 TT shafts are custom jobs. and you usually have 2 wait longer for them (well i did) hope you get it sorted mate... ps miksta this wont fit yours as you have a NA diff mate!
Kinda sucks. I bought it off a member who got it from ACPT. And that was about 10 months ago. He asked for a 2 seater auto, but got sent this. He never fitted it, did a manual conversion so wanted to sell this to get the other length. I bought it and doesn't fit, but apparently ACPT response is generally, we MAY swap, but if we do you pay for return shipping and new shipping of replacement. IMO, a business should fix their mistakes and wear them, but since ACPT is in the US, guess they don't care about us as we don't have legal options, especially me as I bought this off someone else. In any case, Street-to-Strip is being really good (he organised original purchase, which ACPT misfilled his request of) and I'm probably going to resell this and get one of the PST one's he just setting up a GB for. I'll come off a little down maybe, but hopefully not too bad. Just really disappointed with ACPT customer service. We're lucky to have good forum businesses here to help us out
do you know what it off .. if its for a 2x2 5speed .. i may take it of your hands ....p.m me no the price....
of course all 2+2 TT carbon fibre shafts are custom.... never came out stock in cf as far as i know....
.....I would...... .............like to say that I will be getting another CF Shaft for Vaughan, (if he wants one) from PST at the same price that he paid for the one he got from Casey. This means that I will make a bit of a loss on the shaft, but it is the best option I have to help
....all...... ........I can say is keep on their case mate, James Martin is the guy to hassle. I have done all I can with them, James has told me it had been resolved by him personally??
Yeah, STS is being very good. I'm going to remeasure it more accuratly today and hopefully someone can tell me what it's for, auto or manual (obviously 2+2 sigh)..
He told me I was supposed to receive it for christmas... But since he told me that, I've no news... ACPT is ...... :bash:
....I suggest then..... ....you push James Martin, very strongly for a full and total refund That may result in two things happening, either you get your correct shaft or you get the refund. I suspect it will be the latter beacause he may be just too busy to service all his orders, or not have enough staff I will be trying again from my end. I do not know what the reason is that is causing the lack of service , but it sure has deteriorated of late, and you are not the only one of my customers that has been affected. One of my Australian customers got his shaft over 12 months after I placed the order
