What type of power increase do you get from say 12psi.. Just had a run with a R33.. I could hardly keep up with it!
Depends what boost you were running previously.... if you were on say 6psi then you'll feel a slight bit more of kick, but not a huge jump..
What sort of R33? Must have been a GTR, cause my friends GT-ST with intake/exhaust etc. done on it can't keep up with mostly stock Z.
I was behind him.We turned into corner I sat behind him for a few seconds than we come into a bend at 120 than I backed off. I didn't like the look of the tree's and the fact that I have balled inside rear tyres.. Hicas light was on to... I only run 6psi. I think it was GT-ST.. Has a big intercooler hanging out the front. He revved me up the other week..I guess he is happy now. Hope we meet again.. LOL
6 psi? there's a prob there. You should be htting 8 or 9 with your foot to the floor. I mean, spec wise we have this: TTZ------------GT-ST 3L V6-----------2.5L Straight 6 208 KW---------184KW 1500 kg---------1400 kg 5.6sec 0-100----6.02sec 0-100 Straight line it shouldn't be a contest.
I think safety is 5, though it could be easily mis-read esp if he's using stock guage. would explain alot as I think his ECU would also be using safer fuel maps which would also affect him -vly If you say 5.5 then yeah I'd say safety boost definatly..It should be 8-9. There's reams of stuff in the tech section about fixing that and diagnosing it.
dudes safe mode will set it into 7PSI....if you are hitting anything lower than that then you have a boost LEAK. get your car on datascan/conzult and check everything out to see if theres any error codes to be putting it into safe mode and also get a boost leak test done.... once you have done this you will freak out of how much more power you have...will be like a new car :zlove: :zlove:
It also depends if you have a digital or manual boost controller!!! Digital is alot more accurate, I bought my Blk 2 seater from Nismo in japan when it arrived it had a electronic variable valve + boost controller in one, I understand my turbos probably are not standard since im running 2bar boost or (29.5psi) thats not every day of course, only when i press the button. Thats the advantage of having it in the cabin TOTAL CONTROL... But like the other guys have suggested check your error codes first you might find an improvement ...Good Luck Matey
Your running 29psi? MAN I SHOULD WHOOP YOUR ASS Are you sure? you would be making massive power and also be hoping you have forged everything including chasis and windows
hes probably talkng about .5 of a bar which is about 7psi mine runs at about .7 of a bar which is about 10 psi. beats skylines all day. if it .5 of a bar which is 7 psi then its in safey as i get it occasionally with my DET sensor playin up. a total slug box!!
WTF 29PSI ???? why would you even want to run that much boost....you would have total traction loss even in the highest gear lol....
When do you hit 29psi? They must be some fairly significant sized turbo's to run that sorta boost effeciently or even at all. Should really be sizzling about 500rwkw or close to it as well. We need that dyno result on the list. Maybe a set of old GT38R's will push it, at around 6000rpm. Pretty tasty. Nice set of 750cc injectors too eh? Quality forged AM internals too? Likely running twin 500hp bosche pumps to move that fuel? Did you port your heads and flow the manifolds? What sorta suspension setup you using to get that HP to the ground? Woulda set you back a pretty penny. Bout 20 Gorilla's? Sounds hot!!!! BTW...there is a slight, miniscule amount of sarcasm involved here... HEY I JUST HIT 1000 posts?!?!?! <sigh> I was expecting so much more of a bang...it's like your 25th birthday...it comes and goes and no-one really cares
^^^^LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL congrates on ur 1000 posts haha ...shit i just hit 1005 and i didnt even know i hit the 1000 dam woulda chukced a cruise
