it was good to see some of you guys out there and put faces to the names. unfortunately the weather was a bit hot and some cars had a bit of overheating problems including mine. but i stayed untill about 3.00 o'clock when i was coming into CAT corner at about 160KPH and realised i had no brakes left. the pedal went straight to the floor and around i went. it was all good though managed to stay out of the sand trap and did some lawnmowing on the infield.

    damn

I missed it :) shame there weren't more out there, hopefully I'll be able to go for a run next time but gotta sort a couple of things, I also don't want to go out with just the factory temp gauge, gonna see if I can have it modified so it raises gradually as you might expect rather than jumping from normal to meltdown, otherwise I guess I'll have to go aftermarket.

    factory temp gauge

mine has got the factory temp gauge. it was running very hot but we made a few changes and it never got over half way. one change we made was to pull the front undertray off although not by choice it let go down the hill at about 200KPH very noisey. i dont know how useful this is but by the time i came into the pits only half of it was there and we just ripped it off. we also took the the cover off the where the air box is, and there is a plastic air guide under here which was flapping around which we fastened back up.

    I had fun! :)

Did 20 or so laps. Have a fluid leak - rather oily, some red, some really black, drops onto the exhaust to create a small flame and alot of smoke. Had it smeared all across the exhaust. I am still yet to find the cause as no fluid levels have dropped at all!

I've learnt that you can't stay with Porsche 996 GT3's on 4 year old completly bald r comps haha ...coming out of Kolb he was just roaring away from me while I was just understeering *sigh*

Was a pretty warm day; I took it easy running low boost, running average 69sec laps.

Sorry I didn't get to chat to ya more Ash...

...I had a fluid leak and then my g/f reading her watch wrong saying it was 2.15 when it was 1.15 making me leave early as I had to be home by 3 all capped off a very average day.

Top fuellers that night made it all better though!
