I am seeking expressions of interest for this Zed. Currently it is set to be auctioned in Japan, at this stage I don't have all the details, I have been desperately running around trying to get all the details, and I will post soon with an update. However the story so far is:

Twin Turbo, 5spd, 2 seat cloth interior, purple metallic respray (I believe that the respray colour is a rare factory colour) Widebody rear, and nice 18 inch deep dish wheels, Veilside kit, blow off valves, aftermarket sports exhaust, targa top, aftermarket steering wheel, CD player, looks to have either an Apexi AVC-R or AFC. 88000kms (not sure of how realistic this is though).

Because this car is at auction I cannot give a definite price, however it should be circa $12k - $14k landed, however if you want this one we have to move quickly as the auction ends in 3 days. I know this car would be an absolute pearler, so if anyone wants to buy my zed, so that I can buy this one - let me know.

So which car are you trying to sell?

Are you trying to sell your current Zed so you can buy the one pictured or are you trying to sell the one pictured?

How much would you be prepared to sell your Zed for?

I am not trying to sell my zed...

I am trying to sell this zed, but it is very nice and if someone offered me a reasonable amount for my car then I would be keen to get this one. As for how much my car is worth - you tell me. I wouldn't sell for less than $17k, and to be honest I am not even sure about whether I would take $17k :thumbsup:

However mine is a 4 seater, this one is a 2 seater and the missus would make me sell it if we ever had kids, so I guess that doesn't leave me in a good position to be buying this one.

How do you hope to import this now that the 15 year rule has finished?

    WOULD BE INTERESTED

So whats the deal here, your gonna import it hear to oz and then sell it off for a higher price, becuase, if your not, the i know at 12-14 k landed, i would be interested.

and serisouly though, how do you plan on getting this beast into the country, and seeing that im in WA, makes matters a little more complicated.

if you could get a bit more info that would be sweet

I am good friends with an importer

As a few people know, and I have been hasseling him to get me some info on the remaining zeds eligible for import. I set up something on this forum, helping people get zeds, and as such I told him (importer) that I didn't want to deal with any cheap crap. He has said to me that because everything is winding down he will only purchase more cars if I can get a deposit on them or a guarenteed buyer, so no one is interested then this car will not be imported. The car is currently looking at around $9k landed, however there are 3 days of auction left and the importer expects to see the price increase, I have set $14k as an upper limit benchmark, it could well go for less in which case the buyer will pay less.

I will try to get as much information as I can, but like I said we have three days in which to work out whether it is a goer or not. Anyone seriously interested can contact me sbrennand@cusfor.com.au :thumbsup:

    sounds good

do we have any word on the condition of the vehicle, i know it is all sight unseen, but need to know. and do we have a garantee that the price won't go higher than 15 k. the issue is that i am in the process of refinancing my loan, for 15k, but if this car is definalty a go, then the plan might be to use it for the his one, and sell my current one.

would like to have a word one on one. PM me

    cheers :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

    Blipman Beer hooves totally work

This vehicle CAN NOT be imported legally

Scott I get really worried when I see people who aren't experienced getting involved in things like this. There is absolutely, positively NO WAY this car can legally be imported into Australia other than as a half cut or for race use (ie can never be registered for road use). Please consult DOTARS in regards to the import laws and do some research, they are not foolish and have been picking up people attempting to illegally import cars, and vehicles have been not permitted into the country or worse still have to be re-exported from Australia or crushed. This is a dangerous game to play and a publicly advertised car in Japan (let alone one as unique as that) will not go unnoticed.

You are all wrong I'm afraid

But don't take my word for it, I won't take any deposits until the import approval is in the buyers hands. This can and will be done, Ben I appreciate your specialist knowledge but do not presume me to be in your group of "people who aren't experienced". Providing a buyer can be found this car will sell and be imported, my importer has made deposits with the seller prior to the Feb 7th deadline.

I am not taking anyone's money until the car is approved for import and for road usage in Australia.

    Thank you and goodnight.

Can I assume its not an issue about 15 Year rule

but the widebody mods that make it illegal for Road use ?

  15. scottZ

    scottZ Manwhore

    Nope

Widebody mods are in no way going to stop registration or roadworthiness, heaps of cars have these mods and they are an expensive mod to do.

Anyway if everyone has finished ruining my post with whatever pops into their head, then perhaps we can get on with it?

After all I am arranging this and lets assume momentarily that I am aware of more details surrounding this car than most.

If someone wants to buy this car...

It will be arranged and the car will be made available for compliance and registration, with all the neccessary paperwork.:thumbsup:

beautiful car there. i've seen some wide body Z's before and to be honest they ruin the Z's shape. this one is not too bad and overly done. good luck to whoever is interested.

scott ...while i am with you, you must accept that potential buyers do

have a right to pose questions of concern/interest at a time when the issue of zed imports is in an important transition stage ... just think that they are getting very excited over the purchase of a top looking unit, something special, and just do not want it to disappear in a puff of smoke ,,, softly, softly, lad ...

  19. scottZ

    scottZ Manwhore

Baz I agree with you 100%

I got a little excited myself, and by all means any prospective buyers should pose questions to me, and I will answer all of them.

However I think that some people, not mentioning any names *cough* *blipman - ben* *cough* are not so much interested in buying but rather just trying to show how knowledgable they are in the ancient art of vehicle importation, when in fact that have no knowledge of the situation. Furthermore, if *un* said person had contacted me directly I could have set him straight with the situation, and that way he wouldn't have to soil my thread with misinformation based on his assumption, which are only going to cause people to be scared off.

I have been working for a customs brokerage for a couple of years now and whilst i don't presume to know everything I have a very good understanding of the proceedures and requirements involved in the import process. This car can be imported and if it were a 4 seater I wouldn't have made this post - it would have been mine for sale - lol. I also would not post this for sale if I knew it was dodgey or not going to work.

I just hope we can find a buyer before end of the auction because it would be good to see a fairly unique zed such as this join our ranks, and I hope that this oportunity is not missed because someone decided he'd type before thinking.
