    ok guys sorry about the wait, here are a couple of rare OEM parts that I have to show off;

First up is the floor mats I have.

As Ive had access to all 3 types of floors mats avaliable for the 300zx, I can differently say that the floor mats in the above picutre have the thickest and most durable carpet style out of the 3 and would explain why it was listed in the 1989 optional brochure as the most expensive floor mat option to buy.

Here is a compariosn between the 3 different types of floor mats avaliable to the Z32 at launch starting from left to right, expensive to cheap.

next we have the optional boot mat from the 94+ 2+2 models.

Another item I have which is only found on the 98+ models is the longer lower chassis support bar panel. It uses an additional 4 extra mounting points to increase structural rigidity. I don't have the extra threaded holes to make use of the support bar fully but it does fit into place on a early model chassis.

And a comparison of the older style support bar compared to the newer support bar.

Next we have the Clarion QZ-6500N-A flip out TV monitor unit. The unit is original paired with either a TV box module installed somewhere in the interior and or a naviagtion GPS system.

You can also see the optional OEM mini disc player / stereo below the tv monitor.

Unfortunately as these units are both japanese based they have a very low fm frequency range and can only go as high as 90 fm. So the tv monitor is what i use to plug a bluetooth adaptor into via a 3.5mm audio jack and this allows me to play music via youtube through the cars stereo system.

Atm I am trying to find a way to get the screen to accept a video signal from either my phone (screen mirroring) and or a reverse camera. Unfortunately the unit didnt come with a compaditble infrared remote and with no digital manuals or information on the unit, I just have to press buttons and hope for the best. So far I've had little to no success but the unit does have a single yellow RCA plug on the back which I hope will accept a video signal from a reserve camera maybe and also the unit has this weird mini d clarion port which I finally found a adatpor cable for which accepts RCA outputs. More testing is required but I did get a static display from the screen during my short testing last weekend.

Thanks alot for posting! Keep this thread going! I have a mint set of the 2nd pictured floor mats. Curious was the tv a z32 option or ? Did the boot mat come in a 2seater?

The tv screen was an optional extra you paid extra for when buying the car from a nissan dealer back in the day. The boot mat i have only seen suit the 2+2 model.

Any idea if it was a z32 catalog option or just a dealer option?

    Realy curious about this piece...

Looks as though there's quite a few of those rear hatch carpets available but they'll be close to $400 landed in Australia.

I remember these from the skylines. This model would have a wired switch? Models following had a remote which is hard to find complete!

Does anyone know if there was a option exhaust?

Closest I'm aware of is the Impul 932S exhaust but I think its just some different finishers over the stock exhaust.

Unfortunately no there were no offical nissan made exhaust systems for the Z32. However there were exhausts for the 3 special edition models which include the Stillen SMZ, the Tommy Karia M30Z and the MSI SR-71 which you could say might be kinda like optional exhaust that were Z32 specific.

    Stillen SMZ exhaust

    And the MSI SR-71 exhaust

All are now discontinued and very very hard to find these days. I got close to buying the above stillen set but it was gonna cost me around $1000 AUD delivered to get it from the US and just was wow out of my price range.

Ok guys to keep this thread going Ive got a couple of rare parts to share though these arn't exactly original OEM 300ZX, they just fit exactly like the original 300zx part;)

first up are a set of Nissan WD21 Terrano II model chrome door handles.

These are exactly the same as the Z32 door handle just all metal and polished to a mirror finish. several years ago there was a rush for these on the UK forums, I managed to snag a set during the rush.

And for reference this is what a Nissan Terrano II door looks like from the inside.
Next is the Infiniti J30 Throttle Cable covers which fit to any Z32 94+ plenums onwards and cover the normally yuck looking throttle springs next to the throttle bodys on the throttle leakage. Thye arent hard to find I think and can be sourced from a couple of US vendors but I again mamaged to snag a set during the rush they yanks had when these first became a thing. I dont have a photo of the covers close up but you can see in this engine bay photo what they look like on my engine atm.

Next is another Infiniti J30 part that should fit the z32 and this time its new balance tube. I dont have one of these and I dont know if I can get one and or if they can bee fitted without modifications to the Z32 setup. but with this balance tube you can remove the coil packs and spark plugs without needing to remove the balance tube.

And lastly a part I kinda made myself which is 2 Z32 parts merged into one. Its a modified mirror switch housing with the USDM Asjustable dampening suspension switch added in.

There maybe more to come in the coming days;)

What did the original tool kit consist of?
I'm talking about the bagged screwdriver and spanner set, (NISSAN embossed)
Was this a factory option, or jdm only?
