Hi All, I haven't been on this forum for donkey years, it seems alot have changed and less posting traffic these days. I have a pretty clean 2+0 NA which had a premature timing belt failure locked away in the garage for the past 5 years. Then I had a son and have been busy ever since. Now Im working out what to do with it. I have various new body/interior parts still boxes etc. Can anyone recommend a local person (VIC Se burbs) to build the engine VG30de and what would the expected ball park range be ? I had thought it's possible to DIY, but then I have flash backs of my old mans 50's rover he never finished rebuilding the engine since I came along It seems history repeating itself. Ha, I know in the old days ppl would just say get a half cut and convert into TT. theres probably that many good Z32's for sale these days.
An alternative would be a used NA engine, there's one listed on Facebook Aus300zx buy and sell for $250 (located in Wollongong).
Cheers Ian. I've joined multiple 300zx groups on FB.. never thought about looking there. I'm a little bit hesitant with 2nd hand units, never know what you get unless its been compression tested.
