    Hi guys,

I'm in a very undecided spot with my tt z.

I've got a Smokey turbo and about to fix it.
Hard to find genuine real world info on turbos.
Looking at highflowing .. or upgrade hight flow t25g turbos.
    Or possibly t28 turbos from a sr20..

What have you guys had expirance with?

I already know I'll need injectors and ecu plus fab work which is no issue.

Just want to know how cars drove / came on etc since it's a big job and would hate to be let down at the end of it.

Any information would be very appricated

You can high flow your stock turbos for around $1800.

Alternatively you can buy a bolt on T28 kit for around $3800.

Buying larger OEM turbos from another male and trying to get them to fit is false economy.

I have someone who can highflow them for me. But with such small housings I'm just a bit worried I'll make it a t28 with choked up housings

But being so small worried of running out of puff early...

Fab work and fitments not really a issue..

Mainly after what people's past results so I can make the right choice for what I'm going to do

Well have built cars with both... cliff notes version it comes down to aspirations and budget. Stock turbos will be more responsive but choke when you wind them up. T28 less responsive but more headroom.

The number the dyno spits out will depend on which turbos specifically, fuel, engine mods, the dyno, the operator etc etc

What sort of power do you want the car to make?

If I put it all together and it went somewhere around 300/350ish kw would be a fair street car...

I'm deffinently not a newbie to performance cars or modified imports...

But just hard to find info on vg's or people's results on them.

Just after a nice street car with enough pull to know about it in 3rd gear....

But if I'm pull the engine out to fit turbos just trying to work out what will best suit enough for what I'm doing now... and head room later if I want more...

Don't want to hi flow standard and be let down or have to re do the job later on

300rwkw with high flows and e85 no problem. 350rwkw maybe if you go the big wheels.

    350rwkw on 98 you’re gonna need T28.

    2860’s and a 4.10 (NA rear end)

    3rd will scare you

Get 2860 sized wheels put into your stock housings, seen a few cars do ~310-320kw on 98. 1800$ from Hypergear turbos.
