Oil fill question

Stupid newbie question even though I have had my zed for 15 years! But how many litres of oil do people put in their zeds? TT versions?

4 & 5/8 quarts. Whatever that translates into litres

 

Geez, I hope you're using US quarts and not pommie ones


I throw some in the oil filter, chuck in a bit under 4 litres and fill according to the dipstick

 

4 to 4.5 litres max.

 

I've just read heaps of posts back from 2004 and so many different responses lol. Just don't want to add too much or too little. Avg is around 4 litres which from memory is what I used to do when I was running Amsoil in the zed including in the filter.

Fill it up until it reads right on the dip stick. Not very hard.

 

the last 3 services I've done on my z I've followed the fsm to the letter. 0.4 for the filter and 3 litres for the engine. the dipstick I find hard to read so I know it's either just under the h line or a little over the h line.
