cant say i had an amazing time but was good till this , the fuel pumps shit them selfs , o well it seem its now raining on friday anyway all is good once again ill be back , pumps are coming out tonight or tomoz ,
yep tell me about it , ill get there man, i just really want to run a 9 , before i build the engine , they are the walbro 485 aka 460 aka 400 , lol we think it was a problem with the socks at this point but either way the have been sent back , and we will see what the outcome is latter on in the week i guess ,
Alex, are you running E85 or 98 octane ......... E85 is very hard on fuel system components ... I drain the tank in my race car between events !!

ok so here is some new info i thought i should share as i dont want you guys ( or anyone ) to go thru what i went thru , it was a scary nightmare, going from 98 to e85 , OR flex, what happens is the alcohol in the e85 eats up everything in the tank and lines so the shit from the 98 that sitting in the tank on the roof on the walls etc etc, so when you switch its best you change the fuel filters a few times till its all cleans up , its best to take your fuel tank out and send it away to get cleaned out properly i did this after the problem ill got some new socks again today ill change them out tomorrow and ill put some photos up as to what they look like these are brand new say about 2 week old , this is just a heads up for those thinking of going e85 , id love the hear what you guys that switch before me have to say as well , so the guy today told me to change them about 3 times as he does the conversion he tells the customer that they need to be changed , as a part of the deal ,
Yep ... E85 will eat fuel lines not "E85-safe". It eats the sock on the bottom of fuel pumps I have foam in my race car fuel tank 'cos CAMS says you have to have it .... E85 eats that shit as well - even the E85-safe stuff is only good for ~3 years.
yes for sure , it takes it toll im just wondering at what point it starts becoming annoying to the point we start going back to 98 , not sure this would happen with the great gains we are seeing from e85 i will be running S/S fuel lines in the car so this is one thing i wont have to worry about , but the rest of the parts may just need to be changed in time ,

I ended up running a kit of the gold tank sealer through my tank after the mods, figured that safe guards me for any rust issues or 98/e85 compatibility issues. At the rate of prices on 98 atm and its consistent climb, im seriously thinking of primarily running pump e85 on the street (buy a test kit and test at the pump, if its good fill a 40 and take it home) and have 98 on flex with moderate boost as a backup if i run low with no bowsers nearby. Hope this sorts out you issues now, also do yourself a favor man, if the car is going to sit more than a few weeks, drain the tank and run a hit of 98 through the fuel system. All other times make sure you top it up right to the brim after you park it up. ive seen the result of this shit sitting in a half empty tank for 12 months, tank and fuel pump assembly was basically a right off.
Also might be an idea to get a drain bung welded onto the bottom of the tank while its out chief, make your life a whole lot easier to drain it out
to late it went back in a while ago , but it would be something to think about when it comes out again
so i finally found this interior and i got it , its in great condition , so this is out of a 2+0 so i need to get the back parts and i will one day , so im happy all up was 600$ happy with that ,
