Hi All, Im in the process of replacing my broken oem radiator with a new Koyorad Im auto tt, and thus need to fit a seperate trans cooler How large is the unit incorporated in my old OEM rad ? What size new seperate unit can I get away with ? Where is best place to mount ? What have others done successfully ? Brand names and suppliers would be greatly appreciated Many thanks Henk
I followed K-Zed's article in the tech section and bought a PWR cooler . Good brand and i got mine when it was on sale. Turn oil cooler around 180 deg and mount transmision cooler between it and the thermo fan
I have sold a few of these http://www.rgsperformance.com/product/automatic-transmission-cooler-kit/ to members. They fit and work well and the kit includes everything you need for installation.
Makes for a happy trans. I mounted mine in under the rad at an slight angle as not block all the air flow upper side of the bottom air dam Can take pics if you want to see.
Hi guys I’m going to do the same thing over the weekend to my z I have a twin turbo wold love to see sum pictures of a fue to get sum ideas I want to make it as neat and tidy as possible sum pictures wold be greatly appreciated I have seen a picture of it mounted between the ac condenser the cooler was mounted to the ac condenser with plastic mounting ties and the ac fan but can’t figure out how as the fan was bolted back in the original position when done and the ac fan sits against the ac condenser? Wold like to her some ideas and pictures thank you
Hi mate Will the large intercooler fit with that set up mate ? As I’m looking at fitting the large intercooler after rwc I’m thinking I may have to mount it flat and further in ? thanks mate and thank u for the pictures
Found this on the net im thinking of going with this it looks neat and out the way this is my job tomorrow I’m hoping it will work the same on a twin turbo I can’t see why it woldent
This works a treat no hassle it’s out the way and works in a twin turbo as well as n/a it’s like the spot was maid for it everything bolts up as per usual and it’s out the way and it’s eazy and quick as the cooler sits inside the fan
Also remember to blow out your ac condenser with a air compressor will keep the air flowing and keep it cool will put up pictures soon
