Ok guys, im a little stumped here.
Car in question had a motec ecu piggy backing the factory computer. Since removal i have now got a rough idle once warn and snuffing out... but.... it drives and accelerates fine.

Ive removed the motec and reverted the wiring back to normal, had a ptu issue so i have hard wired in a s2 PTU and is firing on all cylinders. Cleaned maf and no ecu codes being thrown. Refitted factory recirc valves in place of stupid BOV's, All injectors appear to be firing. Tps and timing have been checked. New plugs aswell and coil packs spot on.

No vac leaks that I can identify, although i thought there was a major leak from right under the FPR as it sounded extremely loud in that area BUT i have sprayed the shit out of every hose and eveey sealing surface of plenum with throttle body cleaner and guess what, no leaks. Maybe suspect FPR??? But no fuel coming through if i disconnect vacuum line.

Now if i hook up cable and open NDS or CONZULT, i can audibly here the engine drop rpms/stumble, further more if i do a balance check it completely snuffs out unless I manualy select each cylinder.

Whilst in consult i thought id raise up the AAC signal to 50%, rpm followed and stable idle....WTF hadba play with idle screw on iacv but its wound right out, so again i started thinking air leak.

Fuel pump is screaming loud, which im wondering if its the pump causing the issue but generally i would expect it to idle fine and stall out under revs if that was the issue. Next i guess its Fuel Pressure check time, but can anyone suggest where else i look before I burn this thing to the ground....

    Things I can think of:

Fuel pump needs to be replaced
Faulty Brake booster? (Mine was leaking like crazy from a dodgy bmc leaking, replaced both and happy days)
    Fuel filter

It's prob that pesky pump like Dazza32 said though especially if it's screaming like crazy lol.

Is your coolant temperature reading correctly in Conzult?

Worth trying a new FPR. Boosters are easy things to bypass to check too.

Ok update, cleaned and tested iacv, all within spec. Stupidly killed my brand new s2 ptu as i forgot the fucking earth point on plenum, expensive mistake.

Tried to adjust idle down and it started stumbling again, almost sounded like a miss.

    Temp is reading correct.

Retensioned pins on afm, solid connection.
Pulled fuel pump, turns out it is brand new and fpcu already bypassed...hmmm... ok

    Swapped ecu's, no change.

Checked all vac lines except boosters.

Only things left i can think of are fuel pressure and pull the booster hoses.

Im not running a air filter atm as car has an Front Mount fitted (no room) and im getting a pipe made to relocate filter out of way. I have seen this cause issues before (bit like the exhaust h pipe saga), im wondering if im chasing my tail, might gave to wait until the pipe is made for air filter and retest. For now ive bumped idle up to 1100 with the idle screw so i can move it around, not ideal but it works.

Cavitation dueto running pump at full speed

I doubt it, pumps run full speed once they are under load.

I blocked the booster hoses, slight change noted. Appears maybe a small leak from the clutch booster, only when pedal depressed though so not this particular culprit. Its pretty much stablebat idle at 1050 now so i can probably live with that for now. I'll let my brother get some ks on it and see what happens. Car had been sitting for quite a period of time so things might just need to settle back in place. I'll also run some injector cleaners through it aswell incase a sticky injector

Yeah but then the engine eats away the fuel. At idle the pump just keep showing the fuel for no reason against the regulator which in turn cant flow enough to keep the system happy..
