Hi everybody - It's Cruise Time.

Would love to see as many Z's (and both new and old faces) there as possible but if your car is not family friendly, please don't let that stop you from participating - all vehicles welcome.

    Cruise Details:
Meeting time: 10:00am, Sunday 17th December.
Meeting Point: Mount Wilberforce lookout (Carpark) just Off Castle Hill Road (About 500 meters west of Pennant Hills Road (Near Thompsons Corner)

We’ll allow a bit of relaxed time for everyone to meet and have a chat, with a goal of departing around 10:45 / 11:00 am for our cruise to Wisemans Ferry. (About an hour's drive north west)

Anyone heading down from the North (Gosford / Newcastle) - you can either meet at Mt Wilberforce lookout - or directly at Wisemans Ferry.

    The Route
Immediately upon leaving Mt Wilberforce Lookout – we’ll make a right turn at the lights, heading onto New Line Road.

We will follow new Line Road all the way through to Dural, where we will go through the round-about taking the second exit onto Old Northern Road. (Where the McDonald’s is)

From here, we will follow the road through to Wisemans Ferry.

    Lunch Options
To cater for all budgets here’s a couple of Lunch options when we arrive at Wisemans Ferry.

    The Wisemans Inn (The pub)
For those wanting to gather at the pub (Wiseman Inn). There’s a great selection of Pub food and drinks available.

    Picnic Grounds (Wisemans Ferry Park)
And… for anyone that wishes to organise their own food, a picnic etc – there is the nearby picnic grounds at Wisemans Ferry Park - where there’s plenty of shelter and BBQ’s available. There’s also coffee and snacks available nearby too.

In either case – after lunch – we will all gather at the car park in front of the picnic grounds - for fun and chat etc before finishing the day off – which I imagine will be around 3:00 -4:00pm.

    Cruise etiquette and other notes:
The usual – drive to the conditions, drive safe, respect other motorists and have a great, fun day.

Be great to see you there, so save the day.

Shane, you can ride with me. If my wife's not going I'll take the Zed, if she's going still happy to offer you a ride but I will take the daily. Either way, seat available mate.

Answering a question from one of the forum members...
So, if you’re heading down from Newcastle you can of course meet the group directly at Wisemans Ferry. We should arrive there by around 12 midday. Pretty sure most of you will know the route via Wisemans Ferry road, which is a great run.

Also some points regarding lunch.. the option is there to have lunch at The Wisemans Inn, or you can organise a BBQ picnic at the grounds opposite the Ferry approach on the south side of the river. The other alternative is the Kiosk near the Ferry. The Kiosk serves simple hot food, like burgers, hot dogs fries and so on.. as well as coffee and cold drinks.
For some weird reason, reports are that the Wisemans Inn does not appear to handle credit/debit cards directly, but there is an ATM on site.. or my advice is to bring cash.

Note, I just wanted to offer some alternatives to cover everyone’s budget for lunch, so please feel free to do whatever works for you. But, in any event, after lunch, we will all gather at the car park and picnic grounds near the Ferry for the remainder of the afternoon.

    Cheers

Sorry guys I'm not going to be able to make this (sorry Chris looks like you'll have to take the missus ;)

I've been struggling to get my car back together in time to do a test day before the end of the year. Had planned to be at EC tomorrow but the bloody gearbox didn't want to co-operate. So I'm now planning to go to WP next Monday if I can get it running by Sunday morning, and then will be loading it up in the afternoon.

Hope everyone has a great run and Merry Christmas to everyone.

There will be a small number of stickers and lanyards available for sale too. $15ea and all proceeds go towards running costs
